What a petty man. Contrast that with the 8 years of bull shit Obama put up with from the birther crap Trump supported. Can you imagine Trump's reaction if he had been in the same position?

I can only describe Obama's restraint as preternatural.

He's apparently still at it:

Also not a big fan of SNL these days...

I wonder if he'll start live tweeting summits and meetings with foreign governments/heads of state.

DJT: Merkel: so frumpy and annoying. Total 3!

DJT: Parliament is a bunch of losers. Couldn't win the American Revolution. Sad.

Hopefully the next 4 years is only as bad as this. Trump constantly whining about stupid shit.

While Trump sounded like a little baby asking for the theater to be a safe place, the comment that was made to Pence just made things worse with the hysteria. His comment of "We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights"

The bold part is what I have a problem with. Further making claims like Trump is going to kick everyone out of the country he doesn't like, that he is a danger to our kids, etc. He could have changed a few words and still made his point, and not helped in the division. Kinda funny he talks about diversity yet the add for hiring people for the play wanted "NON-WHITE". More hypocrisy. I understand the point of having other races playing traditional white roles. That doesn't take away from his claim of diversity, while the play excluded a race. That being said, Trump need to just stay off Twitter and not reply to every little slight he feels goes against him or his team. Just makes him look worse each and every time. Pence handled it far better than Trump would have I think.
I think this was directed at Mike Pence, a man with a long record of opposition to civil rights for gays and lesbians.

Can you imagine if Obama had taken to Twitter every single time someone spoke out about him the past 10 years. When did conservatives become such thin skinned pussies...

The real answer is they always have been. It's fed their need to push back against changes in the world because it scares them.

Yes, all the while NA burns to the ground. :D

Caligula had his violin, Trump has his Twitter account.

That's actually a myth about Nero, attributed to a play by Tacitus.

Nero actually had himself a little Chris Christie moment when Rome was burning way back then. He put his ego on hold and got to helping people with relief measures.

Then he went right back to a being a crazy prick and blamed the fire on christians IIRC. Various animals became well fed.

What the actor did was rude and inappropriate. I do not like Pence at all, but he was in a position where he cannot defend himself. He was not there for political purpose but for watching the play, and as a citizen he has the right to enjoy the show as everyone else.

Now, one can argue that he was really there for political purpose, not for personal entertainment. Considering that he did not seek privacy but paraded in with secret service and all that, there may be a merit to that argument. But as is often the case with stuff like this, we will never know.

Either you didn't even bother to watch the video or you are hopelessly partisan. US politicians at that level are subjected to protests nearly every time they venture out into public, and it has been that way since at least the seventies-for Presidents and VPs of either party. That something The Donald better get used to pronto. He certainly personally has given his share of abusive crap to past Presidents all the way back to Reagan's day (his vendetta against Obama wasn't the start of his BS).

Pence was booed by the audience earlier when he made his grand entrance. The cast treated him with the upmost respect throughout. I can't imagine how that actor could have put his comments more respectfully than he did.

there are white people in Hamilton. The ad was probably looking for non whites however I doubt you even saw an ad to be in the hottest show on broadway. They will have zero problems casting parts from a casting call.

My wife saw that they also had to stop the show for the crowd during "Yorktown".

There's a line in that song that always gets the crowd to cheer:
(Fast forward to 3:11 to see the Tony Award version of the song and the crowd reaction(

It's when Hamilton meets up with The Marquis de Lafayette before the battle of Yorktown.

After they congratulate each other on how the war is going they clasp hands and sing "Immigrants we get the job done!" Generally the crowd cheers.

At the show with Pence they apparently cheered hard enough to stop the show for a bit.

So how should he have rephrased that sentence?

What words would you have found correct from a political perspective?

The crowd I can understand, but I think it is in poor taste for the cast to address Pence instead of simply addressing the crowd to quiet down so they could perform the show. Even though they didn't do anything outlandish, I still think it is inappropriate.

It's funny/sad how Trump thinks the cast owes Pence an apology when he goes around doing shit like this...

Except you're a fucking idiot. He used that same thing 3 different times during that same speech with people who aren't disabled. It's his version of "OMG, FREAKOUT!". Not making fun of disabled people. But that wasn't reported by the MSM, was it? Because idiots like you wouldn't be able to repeat it then.

I love the smell of hypocrisy in the evening.

https://twitter.com/brandonvdixon/status/181049423508422658

Have at it liberals, eat your own. Advocating date rape is terrible, anti-feminist, misogynist, evil...etc.

Good job finding a tweet from 4.5 years ago. I don't care what some random actor says. I do care about the garbage Pence has spewed given that he is the VP and should be held to a higher standard.

You guys are turning in to huge babies.
