I lived there for 2 1/2 years and that was 7 years ago. Have had no desire to go back at all. I hated the place. Glad I'm back in civilization. Sacramento seriously does suck and that's not counting the government.

Why do you say Sacramento suck?

Hell, in Sacramento, you're less than 2 hours from Lake Tahoe...or about 2-1/2 hours to Reno...MUCH better than hanging around Sactown.

It depends on what you like to do. I have this really neat project downstairs that you may want to see. I am sure you'd love it.

Plus...

I keep meaning to go to this:
http://www.aerospacemuseumofcalifornia.org/

One thing about that area though, just drive through it. Eat/gas up/etc. elsewhere. It's not horrible but it's not the best.

I'm going to go to the Aerospace Museum Sunday. My work at the terminal expansion is done and Tuesday I load out the equipment for the next job and haul ass outta here. There is that Bodies Revealed or whatever exhibit by the Arden Mall I want to see too. Good way to waste a day.

Well, there is no shortage of hot chicks in the nicer parts of downtown. L and 15th I think.
Besides that, this place sucks. I was thinking about something to do after the conference is over...but I am leaving like a bat out of hell.
I had no idea this place was such a dump.

There is nothing to do in Sacramento few times I drove through there. The local are unfriendly and the foods is meh at best.

As someone living in Sacramento county, you need to go east or west. It's a good place to live because you're in easy driving distance of a lot of things. But as far as places here to go, pretty slim.

That's about what there is to do there...drive thru it. 😛

There is a frys and a historical airplane museum that I enjoyed, which is always best to go with a veteran of course. My companion was my dad, a vet from the korean war (can't remember the name of the museum.)

First of all, to do anything cool it's at least a 2hr drive(Tahoe/Frisco/mountains/beach), night life sucks cus everything closes early cus it's an old people city, weather sucks, people are very much an acquired taste, river as the cool-off spot sucks when you're used to the beach, no theme parks close by, I could go on and on. It's definitely ok to visit but to live, I'd never recommend it to anyone.

I grew up somewhere that literally has everything is close proximity so something as small as Sacramento could never compare.
