So it looks like everyone is enjoying this game. If you could compare the combat to any other fighting based games what would it be?

I'm looking to grab this for PS4 most likely and would be playing a melee based character at least for my first ply through.

Even on a PC the game plays better with a controller. I also played DA:O and DA2 on PC with keyboard and mouse controls, but I am having no problem playing Inquisitions with a controller (X360), including pause and tactical mode combat. It should be no problem to play the game on a PS4.

Thanks a lot. I loved DA on PC but didn't want to be stuck with a bad implementation of the tactical view on consoles, but it sounds like the way to play is with a controller anyway. Thanks.

Honestly, if I knew how this game would play with a controller I might have taken that money I spent buying a GTX970 (purchased mainly so I could play this game) and just bought a current generation console instead. It would be sweet to play this in front of a big TV with my feet kicked up.

You still can from your PC, but I understand if you have a full tower case and don't wanna lug it down stairs or something.

I have been playing this on my gaming TV and it is great.

Played the game over the break through EA access. Fun game, graphics are terrible for current gen.

Like Skyrim, I can see people getting obsessed with it. Seems like there are endless things to do. I personally am not a fan of the genre but had to try it because of the reviews. Glad I tried it but I won't buy the game. Maybe it is the fantasy element that did not grab me. I was not thrilled with the battle mechanics either.

Yup graphics are definitely last gen, not good looking at all.

Disagree 100%.

This really looks bad to you guys? I think it looks fantastic. This is on PS4. I play it on PC but I wouldn't feel it looks ugly at all on a console.

Honestly the framerate hitching in the cutscenese is driving me insane and i can't play it anymore (PS4). Does noone else really notice this? Are they going to patch this?

I'm not sure how either of you can claim the graphics on current gen systems is not good at all. You must have very low quality displays. The game looks great to me on my PS4 and entry-level Panasonic plasma.

I notice the cutscene stutter, too, but it hardly makes the game unplayable.

Picked up the PS4 version last night. Got a $40 trade-on on GTA5 for PS4 at Gamestop. I noticed the hitching during cutscenes at the very beginning which was weird because they weren't large vistas or anything. My first impressions are the UI feels old and chunky. The contextual control highlights on things in the environment is poor. To be honest, the UI and clunkiness reminds me of the Gothic games.

Graphics are decent, but I was expecting more. I was surprised to see low quality textures right out of the gate on an indoor scene. The graphics are certainly not "last gen." There is no way the 360 or PS3 could handle this, but I was hoping for a bit more polish around the edges and better textures. Part of me wants to see it maxed out on my PC.

None of that makes me want to stop playing though. I really like the tactical view. I was most worried about it, but so far I'm loving it. The camera can get wonky in doors, but its much better than I was expecting. Can't wait to play more.

I tried that Steam streaming thing to my TV, but it sucked. Too much hitching. I've got 2x970's and this game would have been neat to try DSR on at 1080p. My PC is water-cooled, so its even more heavy to move around. I'm in between a few games right now, so lugging it back and forth would get old. I really need to get a 50ft HDMI cable and run it through the wall some day along with a USB for the gamepad. Then I would never have to worry about moving it again.

Nope, it just doesn't look that much better than last gen games at all. Looks just like Mass Effect and previous Dragon Age games just with higher resolution.

Yeah the game looks last gen. Like I said in my last post graphics are mediocre. Far Cry 4 now that is a different story. My tv is quality so I don't think that would be an issue. Also playing on the Xbox One. Maybe the graphics are way worse than the PS4 version.

Graphics alone should not make anyone not play the game. Stuttering I can see being a problem. I would hate for it to be skipping a lot. Did not happen to me much though.

That said there are a lot of people playing this game and loving it. For those who like the genre I would imagine they will enjoy this game. Even with Gamecube level graphics ;)

I am looking to get this tomorrow. My PC is a few years old and I have a PS4. I am debating which platform to get this on.

I read where the controller is great. I have a controller for my PC.

Do the graphics look the same between the two versions? Does anyone have any experience with the game on both of these platforms?

If you have a quad core CPU and a GTX670/HD7950 or better GPU, the game will perform similar and look similar to the PS4 at 1080p. I got the PS4 physical version, didn't want to risk it with EA / BioWare.

My PC has a 4890 with a quad core. I haven't needed to upgrade since I played WoW and then D3. Thanks.

While that card was good back in the day, it's probably around HD7750 levels, if not slower. Also DX10 and no tessellation.

Get the game for PS4 :)

I have been needing to get a whole new PC basically. Blizzard spoils gamers as they build their games to run on anything and look decent.

Blizzard games aren't made using the latest techniques and high polygon count characters. They are going for a different style. For Blizzard too, the more people that can play the game the better.

I finished the story one time and it took 150 hours. I did nearly everything though (but not quite). There are 40+ different endings you can get depending on how you setup the world state and your choices throughout the game.

If that sounds like something you could do, I highly recommend it. It eats a lot of time though.

Wow that is a lot of time. I don't play some of my older ps4 games and was thinking of trading them in anyway. I haven't touched battlefield 4 in forever either. I think it's a week long sale so I'll think about that.

Remember though that it's primarily single player. You can come back and not feel like you got passed up in any way.

Yeah get it if you want to play. Was $45 on amazon during black friday. GS is offering some decent trade in bonuses if you'd like to do that. I was able to get $40 out of GTA5 for PS4 and picked up dragon age for $20.

You'll get your money's worth easily if you like these types of games.
