Yeah get it if you want to play. Was $45 on amazon during black friday. GS is offering some decent trade in bonuses if you'd like to do that. I was able to get $40 out of GTA5 for PS4 and picked up dragon age for $20.

You'll get your money's worth easily if you like these types of games.
I think I'll get it for ps4. It won't be in stock until Dec 13 but I have a prime trial so I should get it in a day or two.

Remember though that it's primarily single player. You can come back and not feel like you got passed up in any way.
Yea the multi-player isn't that great, I played for a couple hours to see if there was any big variety but it's not. Not a ton of huge maps to play at and it's real repetitive. An extremely light version of a dungeon crawler ala Diablo but very very watered down. Obviously they focused on the single player.

Picked this up on Amazon for $37 for ps4 with my Amazon visa rewards and also got psn plus for $49. Should be here on the 17th.

Nice, I really like the game. Even after all the time I put in I am starting a second play through and going to make different choices and use different party setups.

I have a feeling I'll like it. I'll probably have a hard time figuring out what class to choose. I know with the witcher 2 I played it two or three times to get the other endings and I leveled up a bunch of skills so this sounds like I can do a lot more in this game. Seeing how you said there are many endings, it should be interesting. I also read online that the side quests add value at times because they aren't filler from what other people said.

Gonna burn through the rest of my playthrough on normal on my reaver and then try for a more difficult experience using a dual wield rogue on nightmare.

I got 'Dragon Age Inquisition' last night, for the PS4.

What I heard around the web before buying the game, seemed mostly true.... except for the graphics. They were better than expected...

I mean I keep hearing that Inquisition on PC/PS4/Xbox One has "last gen" visuals, but I thought they were rather nice. I've played enough RPGs on the PS3 (Dark Souls, Dragon's Dogma, Skyrim, Tales of Xillia, and many others) to know what last gen visuals actually looked like, and Inquisition looks far ahead of anything you could have played on a PS3 or Xbox 360. The lack of pop-in, texture quality, Level of Detail, lighting engine, and 1080p resolution, just wouldn't have been even remotely possible.

They're certainly comparable to what we've seen on PC years ago, but this is definitely the best looking I've seen an RPG on a console so far.... I'm not sure what people's expectations were.

Looking forward to playing more after work.

Amazon had some in stock today but I ordered mine last night. Now it says in stock Dec 14th. I wonder if the ones in stock today got pulled so one for me could be sent out. I'm excited to check it out.

Considering you can solo the game - and dragons - on nightmare with a dual-wield rogue, I don't think you are going to have a more difficult experience.

Yeah I understand that. It takes more skill than reaver or knight enchanter though. I've been playing the crap out of destiny so not really touching this at the moment but I'll get back to it.

How is the mage class in this game? Is it good to start with that? I only had a chance to fire it up and create a character so I picked human mage. Or will that be too easy?

Mage can be played many ways. At first you can put skill points into ice, fire, electric, or spirit damage and abilities. You aren't limited to one type but when looking at the skill tree be mindful that skills can only be added if the adjoining skill is unlocked. So to unlock further passive skills and spells in fire you need to unlock them basically in order. It's easy to understand once you get playing. Later in the game you can choose a class specialization. Each one has new skills to unlock and they have a different specialty. Rift Mage for example specializes in summoning attacks through the fade rift to attack enemies. One ability lets you summon a meteor shower for example. You can find out more about specializations here if you are curious. http://dragonage.wikia.com/wiki/Classes_and_specializations_(Inquisition)

Hint: There are certain points in the game where you need to break a magical barrier with a specific element (Fire, Electricity, Ice, Spirit) so it might be a good idea to have one attack from each or alternatively have a staff of each element type.

I'm a mage and I'm having fun with it. Gave myself a bit of a challenge and I'm a Qunari Mage but I'm enjoying it.

I've never played the other Dragon age games. Is the qunari limited compared to the rest of the classes ? I'm currently reading through the game wiki stuff now.

I'm playing a mage. Only level 9 right now, but its a fun class. Looking through the skills, I was hoping for more spells and skills. I found it strange how there doesn't seem to be a healing spell like in the previous games. You have to rely on barriers and potions. I'm guessing they wanted you to have to go back to camp to refill your potions instead of just busting healing spells all the time.

I've found the AI to be okay for tanking, so you can decently rely on the AI for most battles. If there are a bunch of adds, the AI can wig out and not proper taunt stuff off your characters. I tend to go into tactical view for boss fights and do it all myself.

Is there a way to remove a ability or skill from the battle menu? I seemed to accidently filled all 3 of the 4 slots with lightning strike. The unlock ability and control of how to add and remove stuff is a bit confusing.

Select the skill you want to add then press the button you want to assign it to.

There are abilities that give regen and heal on kill. You'll discover items to add to crafting recipes that do this.

I'm enjoying the game a lot. Did all the side quests so far for Haven except for the lost soldiers quest. I think I have to progress the story a bit now. I don't think there is much more in Haven to do for side quests.

Is there a way to see the level for a certain area? I went to do the swamp missions, but the mobs are lvl 12 and I'm only 8 or so. I couldn't find a way to see the level for the zone. I saw a level on some of the main quests, such as saving the templars, but not on the smaller quests or zones.

I still need to pick this game up. Hoping it's on the Holiday Steam sale list.

Man, I've become such a cheap ass. haha. But, not like I have the time to even get through my back log.

First world problems.

It was $40 on Amazon a couple days ago when I bought it. From what I've played so far it's enjoyable and I would say well worth the time to put in so you get your money's worth.
