The stuttering was a problem on PC too. I think the new Nvidia drivers helped for me because after installing them it went away. I wonder if they can patch something like this from the developer's end.

But I'm still having so much Damn fun with this game. 11 hrs in and I just left Hinterlands and didn't even come close to fully exploring it.

A random dragon popped out of nowhere and attacked us, killed everyone except for me and luckily I got away. Two hit kills us so I'm definitely not ready to take one on yet.

Is it online all the time ? Or do you select a group of characters when you start the game?

Just purchased for PC from GMG including the Flame weapons for $51. I did "the Keep" - but had to guess on some stuff because I could not remember what I decided. Did the "Red Lyrium" stuff. Installed the latest beta catalyst drivers. Now onto doing the fix for the cut scenes frame rate issues. Then , *sigh* I will be ready to start playing. I will probably play a rogue Elf. That is my standard character for these types of games and I just finished playing a warrior on Lords of the fallen.

Same for me. Really annoying and distracting :-/

How did this get past qa? How was in not mentioned in reviews?

The cutscenes honestly look worse than anything I've seen on 360 or PS3.

I saw it mentioned in a couple reviews, but didn't see if the major sites said anything about it. It's bad but I think it would be a lot worse if the frame rate issues presented themselves during game play.

Yup, I haven't had issues during game play, it's during cutscenes. Gameplay is smooth for me.

You'll want to be level 13-14 to take on the Hinterland dragon. I didn't get around to it until I was level 18, and it was still a bit of a challenge.

I played it a lot yesterday... This game is so much fun! It feels like Skyrim, Divinity II and Baldur's Gate mashed together - love it! There is so much to visit and do (Skyrim/Divinity) and the party banter and dialogue feels like the best days of Bioware. I was very skeptical to give EA/Bioware any more money after ME3 (fuck them for that ending), but I think I'm finally getting over it.... I'm glad I bought this game and I'll be spending many many more hours in it :)

I was like... "ohh, I can make a camp here". Then I saw the "cave", went through it wondering what's on the other side. Suddenly one of the chars said "she's taking flight".... So I'm wondering "Who's taking flight?" ohh, some lizards are coming, I wonder if.... *low health, dead, dead, dead, dead" :D

Ok...so I finished the main story in about 45 hours, while 100%'ing three areas/quests and eliminating 9/10 dragons. I am a bit disappointed in the actual story's length/depth.

That being said, I still have over 30 quests in my journal and one area I have yet to explore at all. So there is a great deal of content, and I'll probably be busy for the next few months.

Would you say it's a good game to run through with several characters? I'm only an hour or so in but my main problem has been sticking with a class thus far.

All Bioware games are multiple run games, with the different classes, different choices, different endings, you can easily do multiple play throughs of their games.

Definitely. Once you get past the prologue (besides the major choice you have there), there are three other instances of major choices (each with several options) that you have that directly affect the ending. You'll also want to load a different world state from keep for each play through, as there are a couple of choices that affect the story as well.

I'm back to the Hinterlands with a rogue archer build this time. Things progress much faster once you know what you're doing.

Yup this game is awesome. I'm spending so much time doing stuff other than the main story. Voice acting is great as Bioware always gets right. Randomly walking and two of my party start bickering. One calls the other a bitch Hahaha.

I hit level 10 today. The game is a lot of fun still :) Just wondering... Will there be any healing spells available? Or can I only recover using the shared potions and fast travel? The health not regenerating feels like good old days :-D

Potions are your only healing option. Really means you need some good strategies in battles.

Ok i'm over 50 hours into this game rocking a totally OP knight enchanter (soloing dragons) and it's high time I figure out how the crap is Focus and Guard supposed to work? Sometimes my focus is high and I can use that rift spell. I have no idea how the focus gets charged though. Same for Guard, sometimes blackwell has a ton of armor and other times nothing and I have no idea how that works. This game teaches you nothing about this stuff.

There are some options when you start crafting higher tier armor that give bonus for healing on kill and life steal. Knight Enchanter gets a focus ability that full heals the party even dead members and gives regen for 10seconds. At tier 3 it heals 25% every second. Necromancer has a passive that heals 10% health and mana on enemy death. Artificer gets an ability called fallback plan that allows you to place a lantern and when you are about to die you can instantly jump back to that point and have the same amount of health as when you placed it. If you are at full health when you set it, you will be at full health again. Reaver gets a focus ability that can give attack speed, life steal, and extra damage. AT tier 3 it gives 30% bonus to all 3.

If you combine some of these with other abilities and passives you can be invulnerable to damage for a time, kill stuff faster, and heal up over time and on kill. It is super easy to retain health in this game. Much easier than to have a party member sit there casting cure on your tank.

Focus is built up when you attack enemies. It has 3 tiers. Tier 3 will last longer and give larger bonuses. For Knight Enchanter at tier 3 you will regen 25% every second for 10 seconds and full heal the party at activation.

Guard is generated via abilities and passive traits. For example when you use "To the Death" you generate 25% guard each time the taunted enemy takes damage. Shield Wall generates guard each time enemies hit you from the front and costs stamina. Guard basically works as extra HP, allowing warriors to take more damage. Guard does not charge over time, only abilities can generate it. It will specifically say "generate xx% guard"

I played the original DA and DA2 on PC and used the mouse controls. I'm kind of wanting to play it on the PS4, but don't want an action RPG. Are the controls friendly to someone that like to pause and issue commands or should I get the PC version?

There is a tactical camera that pauses and you can tell party members what to do.

Anyone playing this on 360 or PS3? I'm not moving to next gen for awhile so looking to hang on to the 'past' as long as possible. Just curious if it's worth playing on either of the older consoles.

Even on a PC the game plays better with a controller. I also played DA:O and DA2 on PC with keyboard and mouse controls, but I am having no problem playing Inquisitions with a controller (X360), including pause and tactical mode combat. It should be no problem to play the game on a PS4.
