I got a letter the other day from the R party. They wanted me to fill in a survey that had totally loaded questions and multiple choice answers. It was infuriating. The inference was that anything that didn't make the rich richer was terrible. I wanted to express my indignation but it would have cost me a stamp, so threw it in the trash. I have no idea where they got my address.

Totally right. Before voting by mail became free I used to vote in person. Waiting in line one day (probably over 10 years ago), I looked at a posted list of voters and affiliations and there were almost no Republicans. I think maybe one or two. So, ALMOST "literally" no Republicans here.

- That's not even a survey, its marketing disguised as a survey.

The point isn't to actually have anyone mail it back, its not for any kind of data gathering. Its to put those questions into the brain of the reader, to introduce FUD, ideally where there was no FUD before.

if work is so good, then it should be better than the alternative of not working. pretty simple.

i once had someone ask me if i'd vote for a candidate that offered UBI of 100k/year. i said sure, why not. i didn't think to explain the caveat at the time - yes the economy has to be able to support that. and if it IS possible, then work better offer something better.

Me too. I didn't read past the first few questions. I have been contemplating scanning the thing and posting the scans here, but have been wondering if it's a good idea. I mean, there IS something deplorable about showing people that. After reading the first few questions I thought to write something deprecatory on it and post it back to them, then realized the return envelope required my providing postage and I tossed the lot in the trash. It's pretty infuriating.

Edit: I noticed today that this thing is credited to Donny Jr.
 
Right, and @GodisanAtheist is exactly right...they never gave a shit about them being returned (or they'd have provided a SASE).

The goal is to implant the displayed notions into respondant's heads. Keep pushing that disinformation. And they're obviously sending them to more than just registered-as-Republican voters.
