The other alarming news was the big spread into Italy, iow it's in Europe, and it's in the hands of the Italians.

We're about to lose containment on a virus that has perhaps a 2% morality rate.

The hope was to limit the spread within China's borders. Once it breaks out, who knows how we can stop it.

2% doesn't sound like a lot, but Flu is 0.1%, yet 18,000 Americans die every year to flu.

2% of even 1 billion is 20 million people.

... He's performed so well on the other natural disasters I'm sure he's well.. um..prepared.. And listening to experts.. And uhh the scientists.. And has the best people on it....

One thing perhaps the Chinese authoritarian surveillance state is good for ... cracking down on this sort of thing.
Western democracies a bit more lax, personal freedoms and all.
Africa is fucked when that shit hits there.

Meh, for now it's statistical noise, we've had worse in early 2019. It still remains to be seen how much of a threat coronavirus is to the world economy. If serious it can easily send us into correction, or the markets could rebound next day.
