Reportedly the airline bailout package the WH is eyeing will cost upwards of $60B.

They better not just be looking out for the airlines. Thousands of small and medium businesses at risk didn't blow all their money on stock buybacks, those people should get a leg up too.

We also shouldn't just hand the airlines money, no strings attached. I'd say we need some pro-consumer strings attached, but based on this adminstration's track record with the best deal maker, I don't foresee that happening.

The left will resist that hard. They can't mentally reconcile the idea of "the rich" getting a payout even if it's in emergency situations and will attempt to make a final stand (prediction mode: ON) of only allowing payments to families making $65k or less. You've already seen the pushback on the idea of a payroll tax holiday since "what about people without jobs?"

Are you just knocking ideas or do you actually have thoughts on what can be done to help?

Huh? 'The Left' (bum bum BUMMMMMM) has been a big proponent of 100% UBI for a few years now, and I'm not aware of many say 'buuuuuut' as a rider on it. The whole point of ditching our current myriad social systems for a flat $2k/mo or whatever was to reduce the complexity, not increase it with another if-this-then-this system.

Are you sure you aren't just trying to stir the pot, Glenn?

A republican came up with it, isn't it enough to just support them during a crisis? How much worse does shit have to get before you put down your fucking pitchfork and come to the table?

Presser going on right now. Trump starts speaking and the market drops by 2%. He really should have these after the markets close.

Watching Trump on tv is making me almost uncontrollably crave three fingers of bourbon.

If the real projection is August we're gonna need a stimulus counted with Ts not Bs.

Can we hit 3000 down in the next ten minutes?

I think we will hit it... not sure we will stay here. It's going to be close with all the sell offs.

Yes ...Trump is making things worse whenever he opens his "lie" hole, but I think the overall market would look about the same no matter who was president. Just about every market world wide is down about 30% from its high, same as the US. You can't have a almost everyone in the world stay home for a few weeks/months without massive damage to the economy.

Nasdaq under 7k, S&P under 2500, Dow dropping below 20k isn't looking like a stretch goal anymore.
