Fox News, nuff said.
Are you saying he DIDN'T illegally possess a gun?

He's saying FOX is notoriously bias to the republican party. Besides, who cares? I mean really, its not like he tried to sneak it past security. He should have know better but I?m sure he wasn?t hired for his mental capacity. He is a bodyguard, not so effective without the threat of force.

I might just be me, but when deciding who I want as a bodyguard, I'd like them to be smart. They dont have to be book-smart, but they need to be street smart. MM has made enough money off his mockumentaries that he can afford a good bodyguard, ie someone with a body that can handle threats, and the mind to deal with them in the best possible manner.

Yes, it is possible for people to be both smart and strong.

Of course it begs the question why MM has a body guard with him instead of a personal trainer.

Really, MM's bodyguard is obviously inept, as he should have been protecting him from the #1 threat to his health: junk food.

So we have killed ALL the myths now.

Dead myth #1: MM owns guns
MM admitted to owning at least one gun and "grew up with guns".

Fixed to reflect correct tense. I will stipulate that, if he has recently said he owns a gun, that "admits" is probably the correct tense, however I have not seen such a statement made by him recently, and the last statement I have seen regarding his gun ownership included that he wished to get rid of his gun. Anyway... I grew up around cars. Does that necessarily mean I own cars? No, it means that I have had some experience at least seeing cars, if not actually using and working on them. There has already been a posted quote regarding Moore's gun ownership, saying that while he did own a gun, he was looking to get rid of it. So unless that quote was extremely recent, he's probably managed to lose the gun by now.

Dead myth #2: MM is not anti-gun
MM is a member of the NRA

I bought the most racist person I have ever personally known an NAACP membership. Do you believe that it made him suddenly non-racist? Or, instead, should we be looking at things he has said and done since he received that membership, as it would seem to be a more reliable indicator of his personal beliefs, rather than relying upon his membership in a certain group? If you look at the quotes MM has made since then, and at the positions he has endorsed regarding proposed gun control legislation, it becomes evident that he is, indeed, "anti-gun".

you better bet my bodyguard would pack heat. no hypocrisy involved here, just pure common sense. the only surprise here is that he doesn't wear a vest anytime he goes outdoors.

use your brains, people.

Excuse me, but..

1) He's anti-gun
2) He has a bodyguard protecting him who's packing
3) ...
4) HYPOCRISY!!

He should practice what he preaches, otherwise, he should shove a Twinkie in his mouth and shut the fu[/b]ck up.

hypocrisy at its finest. great points mwtgg

Michael Mooreon is definately a enemy of the USA. His hatred for this nation is beyond words.

He has a LOT of influence on him, and perhaps Moore should FIRE his company if he wants to truly take a stand. Will he do that? Perhaps, he will do it to pander for some DNC votes, but doubteful that Moore will even acknowledge this, or will say it was a secret hidden conspiracy against them. Let me break it down for you:

Moore says(implictly) that he has armed guards now in his employ. An armed guard in his employ is caught at an airport, and you are saying Moore had no influence on that? He hired armed guards you dolt!

again, there you go with the angry personal attacks.
Would you like me to lay out the employment of a security gaurd for you?
1. Hired by a firm
2. Work for a firm
3. Do a service for an individual who has hired the FIRM
4. Do a service for another individual who has hired the firm

He is not a personal protector of Moore, and so him being in New York with a gun has nothing to do with Michael Moore, he was either their for vacation or to protect someone else because the firm told him to do so.

This is like saying I am responsible for the guy who cuts my lawn when he gets sued for driving his John Deere over someone when cutting a yard on the other side of town. Please, I thought you used logic?

Where does the article say the bodyguard worked for a firm? Wher edoes the article say the Moore had no knowledge of him outside the firm? Where does it say he was not the personal protector of him? It explicitly states the guy was *his* body guard, and not some random moron that was used by a service.

Actually, that is not saying you are responsible for the guy who cuts your lawn running over someone on the other side of town. It would be like that: If you boycotted John Deere, spoke out against the company, and urged the banning of their products, it would be quite the show of hypocrisy if YOUR yardman *used* and *owned* a John Deere while being your personal yardman, and that you had prior knowledge that he used John Deere equipment, and that you let him use John Deere equipment on your lawn, but said no one else should be allowed to. Now that *is* the logic that is being used, but anyone but an obtuse fvcking idiot such as yourself would have understood that my logic was nowhere near what you claimed in your post.

I've got a few things you can do to help yourself understand my point. Remove the lips of your mouth from Michael Moore's penis, look up fallacies and logic, and then look up the word hypocrisy. If you still can't understand things and are going to babble like a weirdo, then you need to end yourself with a firearm. Since you are likely too dumb to be able to shoot yourself, please die in an accident involving a fire in the most expedient manner possible.

*head explodes*

If you truly believe in what you just said(which I do), then telling someone to leave is as dumb as wishing someone was in jail. He has every right to wish that Moore was in jail, and Moore has every right to say whatever the hell he wants to say. I'll defend the right of both of them any day, but you should really think about telling people to leave, as that is quite the display of hypocrisy on your own part, and this thread doesn't need anymore.

I think Moore should have the right to say whatever he wants.

IF this remained the USA of ages past I would agree with you...unfortunately with the current administration it's rapidly becoming completely controlled by people who share his view who have the power to enforce it...therefore I have to stand not against their ideas (which I lack the power to effectively oppose), but against them (which you can always oppose with a large enough weapon).

But yes, I realize the hypocrisy inherent in my post.

Riight, it's all the liberal media's fault. Sure.
Did FoxNews confirm that the guy was employed by Michael Moore? Did they confirm that he was on duty as Michael Moore's bodyguard at the time of the arrest. Did they confirm that MM knew that this guy was packing heat?
And finally, who cares? This is a non-story. It shows Fox's hypocrisy more than it show s Moores, and also shows their desperation to bash him.

As has been said before, Fox has a conservative slant as does all the remaining news sources have a liberal slant

Unlike CBS, CNN, and NBC Fox News has not yet been caught deliberately falsifying stories for news broadcasts. And of course ABC News trolling for military funerals to counter broadcast against the inaugural coverage was not motivated by any bias at all. Thanks for the compliment though, calling people idiots really makes them take your point of view seriously.

I'm with you so far Mill, but there's the problem of facts still missing from this whole story which you seem to be "filling in the blanks" with... Where does it say Moore had prior knowledge that his bodyguard used a gun while he was protecting Mr Moore? I don't see that part anywhere in the story- did I miss this key fact somewhere?

(Though I have to say, the outcome of this whole incident may turn out for the obsessive Moore hating crowd, because as of yet there is no response from Moore on this)

If you truly believe Fox is unbiased then you're FAR too stupid to possibly understand my point of view, so I'm really not worried about it.

No where in any of my posts did I say that I believed that Fox News was unbiased. My point is that some of you dismiss the story because the OP used a Fox News link. Given the track records of the aforementioned news organizations I would tend to trust Fox News to not be making up a story from thin air irregardless of what you percieve to be their bias. You really don't even know that Fox was the first one reporting the story, you just assume it because the OP used it as a link. Nice that you found yet another name to call me rather than rationally explain yourself. :cookie:
