I'll believe it when I see it. Oh, and I'm bashing it just because its a console? Kid, you wanna discuss 3D graphics hardware with me? I don't care what that article says, if you think a game that Carmack has said will run poorly on GF3 will run great on XBox, you need to think again. What does XBox have over a standard NV15 graphic card? An extra vertex shader. Big deal, even a Ti4200 has that.
Believe it when you see it? Um you just did see it. And I frankly don't give a sh!t about 3d hardware. If a game runs smooth and looks good, that's all I want. I really don't care if it's running on a PC or console, as long as I can play it, that's all that matters. And don't call me kid.

I haven't seen a side-by-side comparison. I can tell you, that even if it looks good on XBox, any desktop card from Ti4600 on up WILL look better. If you don't want to get into 3D graphics technology with me, fine, don't, but you'll just have to take my work that the NV2A < NV20 < NV25 < R300 < R350 etc. Having unified memory isn't gonna give it THAT big of a gain.

well, the NV2A is at least somewhat programmable, which the NV15 isn't...

Actually, I'd never play an FPS on a console. I can't stand Metroid Prime. You'll be the one upset when my 9700 pro eats your pitiful NV2A for breakfast.

I'm fully well aware that ATi's & Nvidia's video cards will do a better job than the Xbox will. I never said otherwise. Just because the Xbox won't be able to do as good a job, doesn't mean the game will look like sh!t. How I consider a game looking awful is extreme choppiness, blurry and unclear textures and sub par image quality. I highly doubt that will happen on the Xbox version, doesn't mean won't but saying it looks like sh!t just because a computer will do a better rending job is just stupid.

Even if I had an XBox....I'd take it on my PC over my 57" HDTV.

well, the NV2A is at least somewhat programmable, which the NV15 isn't...
NV15 = GF3
NV20 = GF4
NV2A lies in between those two. Cards were not fully programmable until the next generation. The XBox's capabilities are DX8-based.

You fvcked up.
NV15 = geForce2 GTS/Pro/Ultra core
NV20 = geForce3
NV2A = XBox
NV25 = geForce4 Ti
NV30 = geForceFX
"Well what we've always called it officially is the NV2A. A lot of people have called it the NV25, but nVidia told us to call it the 2A instead & there are two reasons for that: one, the NV25 in the event that nVidia wouldn't use that part would be a PC part & it would be put in here. The second thing is the part that we have in the box is not just a super clocked NV20 but it actually draws some of the geometry features out of the NV30. So if you put a label on it, it's really an NV27.5 or somewhere in that range in terms of the family. But it doesn't really have an official name so we're settling on the NV2A & calling it a day at that."
