don't hit a jay walker in the hood

You see a lot of people crossing roads like that in downtown Atlanta. Police don't even really do anything since it's so prevalent. We also have about 1-2 deaths a day from someone illegally crossing the road.
 
I saw a kid ride his bike through a busy intersection the other day while the light was red and what shocked me the most was it was right in front of a police cruiser. Is that even legal?

1-2 deaths A DAY?

Wow... just looked it up... 1 every 3 days in 2011. Not as outrageous as 1-2 per day, but still insane.
 
Losers didn't even allow her a chance to get out of the car to check on the girl before the attack started. Neighborhood must be really bad, even the truck that got whacked by her didn't stop..

I was exaggerating a little, but the entire Atlanta metro area and burbs has a very high rate. Sometimes you get a flock being ran over so it adds up.
 
Don't go into the hood w/o packing some serious heat, don't go into the hood if you're a pretty white girl, and don't ever go into the hood at night. You're just asking for trouble.

Last time my friend went apt hunting in that area, she went by herself and nearly had a fucking heart attack because ghetto people where hitting on her left and right, and she had to run back to her car.

Yards are not that big in every case. Kids will chase a ball that goes into the street without thinking about it first. It's not just in the movies. This is why cars need to be driving slow to be able to stop in time for situations like that. It's not so they can hit them slower. People without kids don't think of it that way of course.

Even if you're backing out of your driveway you need to look twice to see if kids are riding their bikes coming your way. They do not foresee a lot of things. You do not want to live the rest of your life knowing that you killed someone's child when it could have been easily avoided by getting to your destination 7 seconds later. Hell, people kill their own kids in their own driveways by being careless.

Doesn't matter if they're supposed to be there or not after you've hit someone. Just slow the fvck down and you won't have to worry about it. Speed on the highway all you like. Those speed limits don't exist for the same reasons.

The driver doesn't help their case when they back up like nothing happened and didn't offer an apology quickly. Of course I would be scared to get out of the car in that neighborhood too and they didn't give her much time before they started banging on her car.

I had to drive through the hood for work for several years. Man am I glad I have a new job since then.

Thank god the driver DID not get out, he might very well be dead now. As for your "not jaywalking" nonsense, the pedestrian was going through a RED LIGHT and clearly wrong. The pedestrian is the one who should apologise.

Because it invites negativity and digusting comments.

For example, Spidey got vacationed a few weeks back in a similar thread for saying ghettos are like "3rd World Africa" and calling its residents "wildlife" that needed to be "handled".

Another poster (two, actually) in the same thread got banned for an outright racist comment that was completely unecessary.


I don't want to be a faciliatator or those sorts of comments. I'll comment in the thread, but I am not making one.

For example, this is one comment from a thread. The user was banned.

First step: Run for the politics. Congress. Ban bicycles, because they aren't safe. Then take all bikes and melt them down into something useful.
Second step: Ban water melons. Destroy, eat or send all the water melons to any other continent except Africa. Burn all water melon seeds and destroy any frozen genetic samples.
Third step: Buy KFC or expose them as a antiamerican conspirational cover for organized destabilization of American military and their potential members and their families, by making them physically and mentally derped. Burn all copies of colonel Sanders' recipes. Then send off, eat or destroy all KFC food. Close all KFCs around the country. Don't license any KFC stuff, just burn it with the recipes.
Fourth step: Enjoy the look on the faces of your n***a friends.

As for the video, maybe they thought she was going to make a run for it when she started backing up pretty far. I wouldn't get out if being confronted either though.
 
Weird I had no idea there would be black people in the video. 🙄

regardless of who is at fault, the reaction to the car is ridiculous and criminal

Perhaps but imagine being the driver. Even if you don't get charged with something by the police you have to live with it and you will get sued. Even if you win the lawsuit you will still have thousands to spend on lawyers.
 
That woman was driving WAY too fast for an area as crowded as that. I don't care, jaywalking or not, you don't go that fast in a crowded area - period.

And, the way she quickly backed up made me think they were about to make a run for it.


Doesn't at all justify what the crowd did to that car, but I have NO remorse for the idiot driver. And the way she left the scene, hitting another car... Is REALLY lucky she didn't run over someone else.
 
They should change the law where if you hit a jaywalker in the hood, you get paid a bounty bonus. Fuck jaywalkers.
 
I can relate to the Jay walking in the video. Around where I live, black poor people often walk across the street to the Dollar store that's strategically located across from their neighborhood. They do this all day but it's bad at night because I can't see them. Almost ran over someone twice because you can't see black people at night. Makes it worse when they wear dark clothing. The speed limit is 45 on the street I'm referring to so I'm always going down that road pretty fast. I remember one guy running like hell because I couldn't see him. It wasn't until he was sprinting that I saw the white at the bottom of his shoe and breaked.
