Ah, now it worked. You know what's even easier than your method?

1) click the link.
2) position the cursor behind the last character of the address in the address-bar.
3) press Enter.
4) done :)

I'm using Mozilla BTW.

The Mozilla method also works in Netscape (does anybody even use it anymore?)

and that's also how you do it on netscape (although you can just click on the address bar <use TAB> and highlight the URL and don't need to go to the last character of the address) :)

of course, some people are too lazy to move their hands from mouse to keyboard... but since i'm a keyboard person, i don't care ;)
