Ah, now it worked. You know what's even easier than your method?

1) click the link.
2) position the cursor behind the last character of the address in the address-bar.
3) press Enter.
4) done 🙂

I'm using Mozilla BTW.

and that's also how you do it on netscape (although you can just click on the address bar <use TAB> and highlight the URL and don't need to go to the last character of the address) 🙂

of course, some people are too lazy to move their hands from mouse to keyboard... but since i'm a keyboard person, i don't care 😉
