No, it'd be cool if Taliban provided better security and we had no more suicide bombings before the end of the evac.

The dead bomber being identified as being freed by Trump would just be yet another betrayal of his that resulted in dead Americans. It's something he's been doing since even before 2020, less of an event, more like SOP for those bent on corrupting America if they can't run it.

If your take-away from that quote in the OP is that Trump was trying to minimize or say 9/11 or Osama Bin Laden "wasn't that bad" then I applaud you for really sticking the landing.

WOW! ... That was one epic word salad. So much to unpack. I love how Hewitt asks him initially about his meeting last year with Taliban leader Abdul Ghani Baradar - And Trump immediately launches into a salad of words about Kim Jong Un and Obama. Hewitt had to stop the onslaught and interject to remind him he’s talking about Baradar.

I’d like to listen to it with my family of in laws and then ask them if they’re really sure this guy should be in charge of anything. But to them this raging nutjob word salad is Irrelevant to them because these Republicans don’t believe the President is in charge of anything. The government never does anything, so therefore the President isn’t in charge of anything. He’s nothing but a symbol… but to Republicans, symbols are more important than the things they symbolize.

Without the Trumps, the Republican Party would become lost within a year or two, in which direction to go. There are already subtle signs of division going on in the Republican Party. The Trumps are the only ones who are at work at trying to prevent the party from breaking up. You have almost sensible Republicans like Liz Cheney, then you conspiracy a Republicans like MTG. Without the Trumps the Republican party will not be able to hold it self together.
 
"Without the Trumps...". Imagine if Ted Cruz ever shot up in popularity and did a 2024 run with MTG as his running mate. You never know, the same whacko base that got Trump through in 2016 could do it again with someone else. Loony and unhinged are positive traits for the base.
