Don Lemon is known to do this. Like him, but he's a bit inexperienced in how he conducts himself, he lets his bias run pretty hard when he opposes someone on air which is really inappropriate and detrimental to his ability to effect real change (his clear goal).

Here Lemon also moves the goalposts in a self righteous manner once he gets pinned on his error.

Funniest thing is the smug look on the idiot on the right as he agrees with Don Lemon's ignorance and bias in this piece.

Im not a gun expert nor do i own any guns, so i can claim ignorace 🙂 But what is the difference in rate of fire between an automatic weapon and a semi automatic weapon? I would assume they are somewhat fairly close. And maybe that is the point he is trying to make that no matter what you want to call them they fire roughly the same amount of ammo in a given time. Or at least close enough your splitting hairs about the actual arguements being made.

And im not picking sides as i dont have a beef with guns. I just dont own one.

To be fair, some of these are correct. I'm slightly near sighted, and I only wear glasses when driving. Without my glasses, a scope really does make aiming easier. Same with a laser. I imagine someone thought of taping a laser to a gun because they wanted to shoot from the hip and still have some idea where the bullets are going. Or shoot it sideways like a gangsta.

A semi-auto fires a single bullet when the trigger is pressed. auto fires bullets till you run out of ammo or let go of the trigger.

It simply incorrect to say you bought an automatic weapon when you bought a semi automatic weapon.

Unless he thinks that the police handguns are automatic weapons.

You and this thread remind me of those protestors who thought it was a good idea to walk around stores and restaurants with their AR-15's strapped to their backs.

Most people don't care about the details. All they would need to know is how deadly the weapon is and the AR-15 is plenty deadly.

You guys should be happy that most people don't realize that AR-15's are semi-automatic. If they did, it'll be the end of the legality of the AR-15. Target and other retailers made a capitalistic decision to not allow open carry in their stores. That meant they gambled on the people who didn't want it vs. those who did. And when the money speaks...
