He’s never going to be president at this rate!

I doubt the Delaware AG has any nefarious intent here so if there’s a case to be made I hope they make it.

I for one am gratified to see that much like the deficit, the national debt, and the qualifications of executive branch nominees conservatives have similarly come around on the topic of tax fraud. 😉

Who ever could have guessed.
 
DOJ actually followed their own rules to not have active investigations in month before the election. Now the case is resuming. Not like it's a new case

I agree! I was simply complimenting conservatives on the slew of good governance ideas they suddenly became interested in since November 3rd. I have to say though the tax one caught me a bit off guard considering the outright hostility they have displayed towards investigations into tax crimes in the past say...four years.

What do you think accounts for the change? Were conservatives visited by three spirits?

I think it happens because of the same reason #bothsides switch opinions depending on political climate. Take a look at Democrats quotes on illegal immigration and policy during the Obama years vs now. They switched sides.

Maybe Joe Biden should tell Delaware not to worry about it and he'll make sure his son is appropriately investigated by the IRS once he's in charge of it.

Seriously, if Hunter Biden is guilty of tax crimes then I hope he pays the appropriate penalty. What I couldn't give even a single shit about is what conservatives think on the issue. They spent the last several years either pretending not to notice or actively fighting against investigating glaringly obvious evidence of tax fraud not by the president's son that holds no elected office, but by the president HIMSELF.

The only appropriate answer to any conservative raising ethics, corruption, etc. questions about Biden is 'shut the fuck up'. Conservatives don't care and they never cared. They want to pretend that they do now, but we don't have to pretend to believe them.

My guess is that there will be a follow up inquiry into the investigation followed by an investigation into questions raised by the inquiry of the original investigation.

Democrats didn't switch positions on illegal immigration at all, what on earth are you talking about?

Also, the AG of Delaware is a Democrat. If politics drives these positions then why is a Democrat investigating Hunter Biden? Or if it's #bothsides then surely you can show me one of three things:

1) Prominent Republicans investigating Trump's taxes over the last four years.

2) Prominent Democrats saying Delaware should NOT investigate Hunter Biden's taxes.

3) The same Republicans who said Trump's taxes shouldn't be investigated saying Hunter Biden's shouldn't be investigated either.

Since it's #bothsides and all just politics it should be easy to provide examples for one, two, or all three of these! When can we expect it?

If Republicans retain control of the Senate the odds of them opening an investigation into both Hunter and Joe Biden's taxes is approximately 100%. People will ask them why they're being hypocrites and they will brazenly ignore the question and/or lie about it.

I mean Delaware has its own tax laws and tax collections. That's how NYS is (likely) going after Trump - Trump can obstruct and pardon federal tax fraud but he's still guilty of state tax fraud.

Amazing how you suddenly have concern about tax dodging.
For the record I am all for a prompt and efficient investigation.
