Now with practical immunity from consequences what would make us think he won't go further this time? The Presidential election has basically become a winner take all proposition where the winner is forgiven for all sins that he did to win.

I think like mere hours after the commutation was announced, Nicole Wallace on NBC said to watch out for people complaining that they tried to get Trump to let it go or threatened to resign. I believe she said any source who claims that and doesn’t immediately resign is only trying to look better for history or save their own job.
