Think again, Trump was doing the Hunter Biden, Burisma bit today in his "news conference.

Trump's hand doesn't have any winners so he has to play the losers. The only way it would ever have had any bite was if the Ukrainians had played into it & the thuggery remained undiscovered. Now the voters have been inoculated against it. Graham & the GOP Senate will make appropriate gestures of obesiance in trying to Benghazify it. Won't change a thing because there's nothing there & nobody cares, anyway.

I would have honestly been more surprised if Stone did not get a commutation or a pardon.

I'm sure all the usual guys who would normally be complaining about how the rich and powerful play by different rules will be championing this at the top of their lungs in this post truth reality.

That's extremely far-fetched, a proto conspiracy theory. I'm not buying into anything like it. This whole contrived drama with Stone is just part of the Trumpian bullshit everybody is sick of. It's utterly corrupt, start to finish.

You say it is far fetched, but what part of Trump's Presidency has not been far fetched? We already know he was seeking foreign assistance in the last election, and is already doing so for this one. Now with practical immunity from consequences what would make us think he won't go further this time? The Presidential election has basically become a winner take all proposition where the winner is forgiven for all sins that he did to win.

It is utterly corrupt, start to finish, except for the election? How does that make sense?

Sound like inside leakers trying to look good when all the shit comes down after the election.

I think like mere hours after the commutation was announced, Nicole Wallace on NBC said to watch out for people complaining that they tried to get Trump to let it go or threatened to resign. I believe she said any source who claims that and doesn’t immediately resign is only trying to look better for history or save their own job.

The only remaining constraint is that he would have to kill Biden in a way that wouldn’t lead to people realizing it before the election. I do think electoral defeat will doom Trump but that’s it.
You're working off the assumption that killing his political opponent would be bad for a Republican incumbent.

So what? The notion that Trump would or could off Biden remains extremely far fetched. Should the current trajectory remain, (why wouldn't it?) Donnie's gonna get whupped badly, Senate Repubs as well.
