Yup, engine is dead. Unrepairable they say. New engine needed. They said a new Grand Am engine is $4000(the car is only worth $2500), a used one from a junkyard is $900. Warrenty will cover that, but they still have to find out if they will cover a new engine or just a used one. I'm not driving a car with an engine pulled out of a junkyard...if that's what they do, I'm selling it when the repairs or done. I can get an early 90's civic or camry or something that will be more reliable.
