well if something becomes bigger with time it's usually bad. You will lose the leg.

What state do you live in? Some flies are transmitters of leishmaniasis, a serious and painful infection.

I call dibs on OP's spare set of keys to the batcave bathroom.

The Elite Member bathroom is always occupied.
What are you talking about?
We need a new, updated pic.
I'm too lazy. Plus it looks about the same as it did yesterday, but it isn't clearing up at all. Doc suspected it should start to fade after the first application of topical cream, but nope. Has me a little concerned, but I slathered more on this morning and we'll see how it looks tonight.
That looks similar to a viral (streptococcal) skin infection I had in 2010. The steroidal cream they gave me didn't do anything. It was pretty serious, and I would definitely make sure you are getting treated properly.

In my case, they ended up putting a catheter directly into a main artery b/c the serious medication would degrade smaller passages too fast, so I was running around with a tube sticking out of and strapped to my arm for two weeks. Thankfully, the medication worked.
Thanks for the tip. I'll mention it when I go back in Monday. (At this rate, i'm assuming I'll be going back since it isn't changing at all like she suspected it should.)

I had cellulitis before, it looked like that. If I remember correctly, it took a full two or three days on antibiotics before I started to see improvement.

Wife thinks it may look a little better, I still think it looks the same. We'll see how it looks tonight/tomorrow morning.

Not at all, it's warm to the touch but there doesn't seem to be any swelling or infection other than the redness on the skin. The doc thinks it's a surface infection from the bite, not anything poisonous.

No, mine is more itchy and burning feeling but little to no pain aside from typical aches and such. Though it is ironic that I have flu-like symptoms, but she said that can be common with a bad infection.

i would go to ER now, it's clearly not getting better and the longer it goes untreated, the worse it will be to cure

I have had cellulitus off and on for the last two years. Didn't realize it until I went the Dr. because I had an infection in my nose. She said I may have MRSA. Lovely. 10 days of antibiotics and the swelling is gone in my nose and I no longer am covered in ingrown hairs on the back of my head.

I'm not one to panic, so the ER trip will wait. Worst case i'll go to urgent care and see what they say, but as long as it doesn't look much worse, we'll see how it goes. I may go back to the Doc tomorrow regardless and see what she thinks.

I had cellulitis once where it took about 3-4 days before the antibiotics started kicking in. I'm a bit concerned that you're only using a topical cream rather than a combination of that and an oral antibiotic. This kind of thing is no joke.

FFS, does nobody in here bother to read?
I already did. Antibiotic and some topical cream, if it doesn't look better in ~2 days, go back right away. She's concerned it's a spider bite, I thought it was a deer fly.
