I guess Bush claimed $87 in 2001 on his income taxes from his partnership in a timber-growing company. I couldn't google any further details ...

Difference between "own" and "owned". If we go by your logic, Bush still owns the Texas Rangers.

abc did. They said he reported it as income one year and then as royalties later. Depends on how you want to spin it I guess.

However abc again had to correct kerry's General Shinseki misinformation. He's only been told that how many times now?

I guess I'll be the contrarian then. I don't think $87 makes one a timber tycoon. Based on that logic and my royalties from mutual funds, I could probably be accused of owning a tabaco company, a software company, etc...

Nah. The media will own him on it. And think if you're Kerry, you don't want to reinforce someting if you're not absolutely sure. It's our job to make sure everyone knows bush lied.

I really thought Bush owned Kerry there. I was sure Kerry was going to be toast, but then I forgot about it 5 minutes later. It was probably the only thing in the debate that stuck the most in my mind. I'm sure the American people are wondering what the hell John Kerry was talking about. Time for the media to get to work if it is true.

I don't think it matters how much he made. He just lied to the American public by totally denying that he ever did when, in fact, he did.
