WTF? Yes a car can handle a laptop...christ, as long as you have a power inverter, now why you are so concerned with playing in the car becuase of road trips is beyond me...why not get a PSP or something, would be a lot cheaper...geeze![]()

I just got a very good laptop for 1450.
Here are the stats:
1.73 Ghz
1.25 gigs of DDR2 533
DVD writer
ATI Radeon X700
It was a Gateway and I think it was worth it. I can game and work on the go and the screen is on of those new pretty pretty ones![]()
Yes but can you play the latest games and the ram hogging games like simcity 4, BF2 I think it is, Quake 4, doom 3, etc without any slowdowns? What resolution can you play all these games at on your laptop though?

I've been thinking about doing something like this http://www.rjtech.com/ms1029.htm and then just buying all the guts from newegg for alot cheaper then that place sells them. You can build a pretty nice laptop with an x700 128meg card for around $1200. It gets pretty good reviews from what I have read sofar.

How the hell do you plan on gaming in a car without a mousing surface? You think a touchpad will be useful for gaming???!!![]()

Radeon Xpress 200 graphics? Doesn't exactly exude performance like their cars do.
