I'm starting to suspect you aren't from the US. Or else you would have already acknowledged the 100+ year legal precedent supporting the role of the US government in implementing actions like quarantine or travel restrictions during a public health emergency.

Just because court ruled in the 1800's and early 1900's that government can do it, do not mean i agree with it nor am i going to follow it.

My wife’s a cousin who is a teenager (so low risk), not obese (the most important factor according to you), and in high school track (so athletic) had COVID symptoms for months and ended up with heart damage.

I’m going with the vaccine.

I think the problem here is you successfully lost a lot of weight with some self control and a sensible diet and feel that it protects you and anyone can have these benefits. Many people who experience something beneficial evangelize their experience.

Alcoholics who stop drinking cans start to vehemently hate alcohol. People who become born again want to convert everyone around them.

So your argument appears to be biased towards your own experience.

For me, I put on enough extra COVID pounds that I qualified (barely) for the vaccine last month. Now I’m dieting and have lost 8lbs in the last couple of weeks. Getting the vaccine and losing weight will reduce my risk to myself and others much more than simply losing weight would.
 
Exactly. People who run marathon have suffered servere damage from their infection. But hey only the fat or old die. Such stupid logic

This. Besides them being able to spread it to others, it also strains healthcare workers that have to treat them. If it just affected them, and they stayed at home whether sick or dying, so be it. Their choice.

Or the marathon runner that can no longer run 100 yards because of possible permanent lung damage. They would welcome a band aid that would have prevented having their health destroyed.

They do every day, and you follow. They tell you which side of the road to drive on, how fast you can drive, control your actions as intersections. The building you live in is built to meet minimum structural and safety standards by the government, for your safety.

Driving is a privilege and not a right. Government would be well within their rights to take my legal ability to drive. Same with someone ability to build. All of what you describe is a privilege that government has legal right to take away.

I'm starting to wonder if you guys are from the US as you don't seem to have encountered that many of right wing shitheads who's grasping of the English language is about in line with their ability to form coherent logical thought.
