DUHHHHHHH!!

consider mine a virtual pair of hands holding up that sign... so, 9... and counting.
If you spell as poorly as they do, it almost validates Kerry's unintended meaning. If you add PrevaricatorJohn to the collection, that makes ten pairs of hands. If you add Bush, himself, you're up to eleven. To quote Spinal Tap's Nigel Tufnel to Marty DiBergi:
Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...

Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?

Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.

Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?

Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?

Marty DiBergi: I don't know.

Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?

Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.

Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder

uhh... you do realize that their spelling mistakes were intentional, right? ... as in, that was the entire point... so ya, I'll pray that you're trying to be witty and not ignorant.

Anyone who willfully decides to go kill people they don't know to protect my "freedom" from Iraqis is an idiot. People who criticize Bush's invasions and then put "support our troops" stickers on their Excursions are also idiots.

Oh noes!!! Kerry insulted a political rival!!! Like politicians don't do this bullshit everyday?

Even after the Dems get the offices this year and the presidency in 2008, all this ****** will continue. They will feed the American public bullshit, Americans will eat it up, middle class will keep shrinking, 99% of the population will be put into more debt, illegal wars will continue, blah blah blah.

Good luck.

Are you moronic enough to believe that a Politician with aspirations for higher office would say such a thing meaning to demean our soldiers? Well obviously you are.

I guess common sense is discarded when the right is in smear mode. I don't believe for a second that he was trying to demean our soldiers, he was demeaning the chickenhawks who sent them on this WMD wild goose chase.

And I'd hope that you don't see anything witty about the relative significance and consequenses of six years of Bush's lies vs. Kerry's gaff in a campaign speech. :(

My thinking is if these troops are really dumb enough to believe that Kerry was talking about them and not the president, then what they think he was saying isn't too far from the truth.

I don't agree with him on much, but Sullivan nails this one.

I agree, when they get home, IF they get home, they will vote Democrat to assure that no other spindoctor, bullsh!t and apologistic neocon ever sends them off to die for a war based on lies.

11-2-2006 The biggest casualty of Kerry's remarks may the Massachusetts Democrat's own chances of making a second run for the White House in 2008

"The American Legion issued a statement overnight, saying the organization of veterans accepts John Kerry's apology."
Meanwhile, Republicans are making good use of it. Bravo.

WASHINGTON - Sen. John Kerry's "botched joke" about the Iraq war riled fellow Democrats and temporarily energized Republicans, but it is unlikely to have much, if any, impact in Tuesday's congressional elections.

That was the view of political analysts on Thursday as polls continued to show Democrats headed toward winning control of the House of Representatives and possibly the Senate from President George W. Bush's Republicans.

The biggest casualty of Kerry's remarks may the Massachusetts Democrat's own chances of making a second run for the White House in 2008, the analysts said.

"It will remind us of why he's not president and why he's never going to be," said Stephen Hess, a congressional scholar at the Brookings Institution.

In Hawaii, there is this saying:

"No talk stink about somebody".

"Sometimes when the wind change, you get stink all over you."

I'm really confused here.

But a Kerry aide told CNN Tuesday that the senator "mangled" his prepared statement, in which he had intended to criticize not the military but the president. "I can't overstress the importance of a great education," the aide said Kerry had planned to say. "Do you know where you end up if you don't study, if you aren't smart, if you're intellectually lazy? You end up getting us stuck in a war in Iraq."

He clearly insults Bush/the administration, not the troops themselves. You end up getting US stuck in a war in Iraq. Without the word "us" and with a misinterpretation of the ending I could see it being directed toward soldiers, but it's clearly not. Either way, it's still a lame insult however true it is.

The republicans is spinning it up to be something that it's not, the true republican way. It's a politicians insult.
I don't see how any idiot can think he's talking about the troops.
