Not true.

In the 60s marijuana had just caught on as a "mainstream" illegal drug, and has stayed that way since. Over those years you've had growers constantly breeding pot plants to increase their THC saturation. 40 years of genetic manipulation has made pot more potent than it has ever been.

THC and other canabinoids are in no way toxic. There are only three carcinogens in smoked marijuana (don't know their names), and they only appear at combustion. So, if you eat brownies or use a nice vaporizer it is absolutely, 100% safe. High THC content is actually less toxic in smoked marijuana because it allows you to get higher while smoking less, and therefore ingesting fewer carcinogens.

Eat your tar folks.

It's also against the law to spit against the wind on certain days of the week in certain locales, against the law to screw without being married, in any position other than missionary, ITB, or ITM for that matter, depending on where in the south you are. It's illegal to do 56 miles per hour on many highways and 31 mph on many side roads. It's... nah, I'll stop there. What is your point?

Hehehe, you forgot to mention that those laws really aren't laws at all. Never enforced, ever. They were made just for special reasons and to make/break loopholes.

Speeding slightly over the speed limit is sometimes enforced (ask some really unlucky ATOT'ers) but again, never really enforced for obvious reasons. There has to be a breaking point where they start to pull people over, it's not really black and white.

Pot on the other hand is totally black and white, as far as the law is concered.

Hehe

Really just saying this based on principle though; I haven't smoked pot in probably five years or so. My debauchery is now limited to getting moderately drunk maybe once a month (at home) and a taste for coffee.

Hmmm, are you suggesting long term effects of pot? OMG! 5 years and still messed up!

I like to do non-drug related activities to deal with issues that come up. Clean your house, play a sport. It's so much better than doing something illegal and very non-productive

ya man, but cleaning the house is so much better while stoned.

Uh, I guess...when you're stoned, you don't generally do something that productive

thats because you are trying to relax. I'm not generally productive when relaxing. I'm not generally productive when in a hot tub either (maybe reproductive.....)

I agree with you there but if you're stoned, you can probably kiss the rest of the night away. If you take a bath, you waste maybe an hour.

This is exactly why I get my stuff done first, then toke up. Especially with the stuff I usually smoke, thinking about doing anything productive is pretty much a non-issue. I'd rather kick back and listen to music, read or watch a good movie whilst under the influence, so I save it for the weekends and evenings when I have time to relax.

That said, I usually only smoke every few months nowadays. I can live without it, but it's a nice treat every so often.

Not really, many police do smoke it or have smoked it, most realize it's utterly harmless and treat it as such.

DRUGGIE

Take care of your body now, enjoy your life when you're older.
This is not necessarily true, I have been exercising for 24 years and taking care of my body (drinking little and no dope at all), I am in the military and would be busted and loose my retirement if tested positive. But the point is, at 48 years of age, my back and shoulders hurt all the time. I don't know if that is considered enjoying life or not.

Poor example. Police also commit many other crimes. If a police steals money, is it acceptable?

Using drugs to overcome life's stress instead of dealing with it like everyone else.

How American.

What hypocrisy! Raising a beer mug at an ignorant comment. As if alcohol isn't used to "overcome life's stress"
Ever hear of AA? How many millions of alcoholics use alcohol to overcome life's stress?

You're an idiot. Go away.

Another fine example of compassionate conservatism.. I'm sure popping pills like his idol Limbaugh is completely acceptable.

You asshats assume EVERYTHING! Christ! Get off it. Did I SAY that alcohol was a better way to waste your life away? FVCKING HELL... :| Back off already! :| And how the hell did pills come into this?

Chill out, dude. Maybe if you smoked pot, you wouldn't be such a tool?

Your claim was in terms of enforcement, as I took it. Why extoll the importance of something written on a piece of paper somewhere?

That could be from countless number of things. Point is, treating your body right when you're young really helps later on. Back injurys are very high on the "easy to prevent", "hard to recover from" list. I hope my running will build my lower back well enough

Good luck to you

Along those lines; someone can smoke like a chimney for 70 years and live to be 100, and someone else can die after 15 from cancer.. what happens to one person is irrelevant. Since you're so unhappy with your life, you'd better drop everything, quit service, and toke up constantly so you can enjoy being in a cloudy stupor. That is after all what living is about.

TechBoyJK why did you have to get this thread started? See what you have done? Are you proud of yourself for getting so many people riled?

Oh, I meant it as written law. Law enforcement is impossible to find consistences with.

If that were his thing, what's the problem? How does it affect you? Seems to me the only people truly against it (I think MAME is just neffing 😛) are control freaks who get their jollies telling others what to do. That's how it affects them, and that's why they're riled up. Look into Christianity, my friend. Its chances seem a lot higher than the drug war's, at least imho.

Dude! What is your problem? I just said that exercising all your life DOESN'T mean that your will live happily ever after! I never said that my life is a shambles! I have a good life, but I am living with the discomfort brought on by the constant exercise. I didn't say I was going to kill myself. Get a grip or go back to drinking your burbon. Whatever floats your boat.
