Warframe is such an amazingly pretty game. Especially since its free to play. Its got one of the most optimized engines I've seen. That and patching is awesome and similar to GW2 with live patches.

Gameplay is damn fun too.

I'd appreciate another step up for scenery textures and I think they are generally pretty aggressive with quality on scenery but do a good job using design to mask it.

I tried it Witcher 3 but didn't like the performance drop so I went back to 1200p with AA.
I mean it's the Witcher 3 what were you expecting?

You should be shooting to play the Witcher 2 with flora mod with vsr. That's a reasonable thing to shoot for lol.

I am waiting for new gpus for the Witcher 3 for High resolution.

Just kind of creepy to me how many Nvidia users never tried it out. Not just don't use it, but NEVER tried it. Like what's the point of going Nvidia if you don't use the features Nvidia releases?

Test it out on some games and see.... I mean, it's your GPU and not utilizing and learning what it's capable of is just a detriment to yourself. Nvidia works hard on releasing features/drivers. You'd think it'd be in your best interest to learn what those things are....

It's clearly a pattern though that it seems Nvidia users are more disinterested with DSR, while AMD users are actively using it.
On an enthusiast forum of course...

Explains why when I asked a lot about DSR when it first came out, only a few Nvidia users had much to say. Seems most just don't care.

What? I don't really use any of the super sampling options so it's not just DSR. You talk like I would have performance to spare in modern games that would allow me to use it. I can't always use every feature that's every made it into the Nvidia driver/software stack.

I'm confused by the passive aggressive nature of your response. Perhaps you could have instead offered some kind of constructive input on the question I raised with regards to SGSSAA compared to DSR even if it might have been "I'm not sure". You see rather distraught over how I'm using my Nvidia card which you don't even know which one it is for that matter (780 GTX Ti).

I don't often play older games but I am interested in the possibility of using DSR with them. I'm just also curious about how it compares with the alternative of SGSSAA provided it's compatible (which is another plus of DSR, should be more compatible).

I tend to use DSR for older and less demanding jrpg games due to the fact that I am running a GTX 960. I can achieve a very solid 60 fps on Valkyria Chronicles with a ~3300 x 2300 resolution (4K DSR is feasible, though drops below 60 fps when explosions are happening, may try memory OC). Though vastly overkill for a 768P tv, the complete lack of aliasing in gameplay is quite wonderful. I really dig it especially with the NPR (non-photorealistic) style of the game.

Well with games like that, it's even MORE recommended to use some form of super sampling. It's like playing Dolphin emulator and not using at LEAST 4x IR resolution (I use 5-6 minimum sometimes 8).

Ya, it's amazing how older games like that are cleaned up and look REALLY nice.

That's a game I need to get next, I need to finish my last level of Fire Emblem and move on lol.

Edit: Looks like 60% of Nvidia users here use DSR compared to 75% of AMD owners.
Maybe that will change when new GPUs come out that can even brute force through older games even harder. I know I'll be pushing people to use it and hope Nvidia/AMD improve on the features. That 8k downsampling dream will some day be a reality....
Still annoys me that AMD pushed 8k screenshots of games before Fiji release only to then not even have a way of making 8k downsampling possible. Amateurish...

Off topic, but Valkyria Chronicles is $5 on sale right now.
