This is going to be as effective as protests preventing the Cleveland Browns from moving to Baltimore.

So. WHat are they protesting other than capitalism?

Just keep plugging your ears while you keep screaming they're capitalism haters... while it's been clearly explained again and again how this is not about capitalism but rather about corporations buying out politicians.

The problem is the US is two fold:
1. We have a two party system
2. One of those parties is bought and paid for by the unions.
....
Doesn't matter, either party - they've been bought and paid for by various special interests. A sizable portion of them are genuine millionaires, and the rest are quite well-off. The only problem of "middle America" that they're really concerned about is extracting votes from them, for what those are worth.
Sure it's illegal to "bribe" someone, but there are sure a lot of other ways to funnel money to someone in exchange for favors.

This whole occupy wall st thing is a perfect example of first world problems. People bitch that they're flat broke, but they're taking pictures with a camera (or smartphone), posting with a computer, have an internet connection, and sometimes seem to have decent clothes based on the pics they post. Only here would we have people that can afford or have access to all of that, yet say they're flat broke. Fuck all of those people. The ones that really need help are the ones that you don't hear from, because they're too busy running around trying to find a job. They haven't seen the site because they don't have internet or a PC because they're TRULY in financial distress.

If you can get online to bitch, then you have nothing yet to bitch about. These lazy fuck kids are ruining my generation.
So if you're reasonably well-off and your basic needs are satisfied, you've therefore got absolutely no reason to complain about having an exceptionally-wealthy ruling class that regularly manipulates the allegedly democratic government?

Right. It's the bourgeois ruling class the proletariat is protesting. I understand that.

We've seen this shit before. At it's core is anti-capitalism and pure marxism. Read and learn from history. I see stupid commies everywhere, they don't even know they're communists.

You're more then welcome to bitch about whatever you want in this country. I don't discount their cause, just the way they're going about dealing with it. And a lot of the followers just sound like entitled kids who think its the big bad governments fault they're in debt with a worthless degree. The system is broken, but writing a bunch of notes that say "I had to sell my 2nd xbox because my community college communications degree isn't getting me a job" is not helping spread the true cause nor anything other than bitching on the internet.

People have real problems. Problems that others would notice and connect with. Unfortunately it's in a flood of little pricks that are turning a good cause into a net-wide whambulance call. You can't possibly tell me that every one of those people are truly where they are because of the system, and it has nothing to do with their poor life decisions or laziness.

Pretty sure Vegas was Thursday. Anyways I figure it'll die down. Its mostly, as usual, a bunch of college kids who are coming to the realization that oh shit the gravy train known as college is coming to an end and its time to grow up and get a job.

So they get pissed because no they have to provide for themselves and protest. Nothing is going to change.

Correction, it's anarchist college kids fed BS by SEIU and other unions.

Communism or capitalism - one way or another, some people will always actively work to seek out new and innovative ways of controlling other people.

Ah, gotcha. And I do agree with this particular sentiment.

(I had originally considered pursuing something like philosophy in college. Then I decided that I wanted a job that pays a useful amount of money, and went into engineering. :))

So it's okay while banks, corps, and politicians all jerk each other off all day while rest of us are fucked?

You are really failing to grasp some obvious things. Who says you need to be starving and homeless and without anything to be able to protest for the good of the country? There are some huge gaping problems with the system. The core of the protest is not to say that we should all have the same resources and luxuries etc etc. It's that things should be FAIR. Go ahead, be a smart person and build an empire, but we should fix the rules so that they are not abused.

You have some deep down hatred at these "little pricks" but your arguments and logic are all trash

I think you both are failing to grasp MY point. I agree with the cause and message and agree the system is broken (I don't know how many more times I have to say that before your feeble little minds see it), but the execution is poor and the throng of people involved are clouding the point of the original movement by complaining about their own personal issues.

Read that sentence again, because I have a feeling you'll both come back with something stupid and put more words in my mouth. Jeff got it my last post, so I'm confident that post made my point clear already... but I suppose I need to make it simpler. I could make you a coloring book if it'd help.
