For some reason the French really don't hold much credibility when it comes to it's dealings with the US, at least in my opinion.

The french are douche's...Lance Armstrong's lung capacity is the reason for his dominance. He has twice the lung capacity of the typical male his height, weight and fitness...that puts him in the 99th percentile IIRC.

Actually, it was his incredible training regiment that made him dominate, and his clear team strategy with postal and discovery. Jan Ullrich, for example, had superior physiology to win the tours but he lacked the nearly insane training that Lance did and had weak, non-existant, even anti-team, support.

His insane lung capacity has been scientifically tested and documented...hence he can train and ride like a mad man. So we are both right.

Lance kicked butt in most all the time trials because he is physiologically able to sprint through an entire time trial [due to his incredible oxygen uptake] while other cyclist are unable to do so.

He's not racing against the other 99% of typical males, but the best bikers in the world, all with significantly increased lung capacity.

i guess with his stamina he can do it all night? but i digress, don't they get tested every year? why aren't they talking about all the year that Lance won the race? oh yeah because he doesn't use dope. or maybe lance is from the future? where the air is so bad you need super lungs in order to breath in the air? hmmmm....or he's a mutant? me goes back to lurking...

Maybe so, but LA still has the bigger (if not biggest) lung capacity of the pro athletes, and he was born with higher tolerance to lactic acid; he also dedicates to TDF more than anyone else.

If he's so significanly better, then he shouldn't have used EPO in '99 that l'equipe alleges. Doesn't matter if his lungs are the size of elephants, a positive test is a positive test, and disproving their analysis is all that matters here.

They've been alleging this for years and I remember Armstrong saying he was afraid of how easy it would be for someone to taint a single piss test and smear him for life. Without any evidence he has been accused of this every single tour and now that some publication wants to accuse him again it doesn't make me think he has cheated.

Maybe he did, but because of the baseless allegations thrown at him consistently over the past few years I will still stick with the belief that he is clean.

I dont think he cheated. Bikers run in teams, his team would have found out sooner or later. Its just some loser who lost to lance and is jealous of his wins, starting rumors. Always happens sooner or later.

Sour Grapes, the 99 test samples may or may not have been tampered with or they might not be his. He has been tested repeatedly with every test they have to try and catch him cheating and haven't come up with anything.

How many times have they tried to prove this claim now? It's getting old. Just because he pwnz doesn't mean he hax0rz.

Yeah, these pro cycling teams are really anti-doping aren't they andwould immediately report any wrong-doings. Remember '98 and Festina? Wikipedia entry on the scandal.

I really dont care whether Lance was using doping or not but in general I think that in sports such as cycling, track & field, skiing etc. most if not all top athletes are using some performance enhancing drugs.
