no college class is going to be pointless. I dropped out of college to start a business, and got screwed over really bad in a business deal. I can't help but think that if I would have stayed in school, I would have learned something that would have allowed me to see the mishap coming earlier.
Also, i think its important to take basics like Psychology, etc.
But OP, ive already said and will restate it, focus on getting certs right now. In your position, they will make up for not having a degree (especialy if you have more than one)
Again I suggest the following to compliment your experience
MCSE (security track)
CCNA
A+
Network+
Server+
Security+
and maybe Linux+
It should take you about 3 months to reasonably cram for MCSE and about 1 month for each Comptia and CCNA. In less than a year of self study, you could have a killer set of certs to compliment your experience. Then maybe go get your associates to show that you took the basics, like pscyhe, english 101, etc.
I can count the amount of college credits I have on my two hands. But I do have certs and experience and am not afraid to plea for the job. In doing so, I got a job that gave me enough room to prove myself and hit a few home runs. I got lucky, but it wasnt all luck.
