This is fine if you are an entrepreneur. You don't have to worry about credentials when you are your own boss.

But in the real world....my company won't look at you if you don't have a 4-year degree. That's just they way it goes.

You may not be unhireable without a degree, but it opens doors that may otherwise have been closed.
