I am not taking a stand either way on this issue since it's all flamebait but if you're going to call cigarettes disgusting look at what you're taking into your lungs with bud.

But if that is true, then why don't people who smoke cannabis develop cancer?

There was an article I read a while back where they had perhaps discovered the mechanism that prevents cancer from forming, something to do with the other chemicals in cannabis. It was quite interesting, because the scientists were thinking that maybe the information could be used to help fight cancer some day.

I'm not saying there aren't carcinogenic substances in cannabis smoke, that would be false. Carcinogens are formed whenever you burn something organic;

It has been shown that THC is a tumor-supressor.

use to in college, observed 4-20 every year for about five years but outgrew it quick, my buddy is actually at a 4-20 Bar-B-Q at some park and might join him. at UCSB it was the sh!t, everybody would go to Dog Sh!t Park, real name, and smoke out in the open with no interference, band playing, frisbees and footballs everywhere.

Man, i was smoking pot nearly every day for 2-3 years there. At one point in my life, i seriously couldn't imagine what it would be like to live sober. Funny thing is, i don't ever recall ever buy the pot myself or with my own money... it was just always available. I can't even remember why i quit, or when... but i guess one day i just decided it was boring and just did... going on 7 years since i quit, and in that time i only smoked it twice more on social occasion.

Anyone who spends tons of money on pot is a dumbass. If you don't smoke much, you can just smoke with other people for free. If you smoke more, buy an ounce for maybe $70, $80 bucks, sell 6 1/8ths, you now have $120 and 7oz of pot to smoke. Except of course you gotta worry a little more about the legality - but most people who smoke pot don't really considering selling pot that taboo.

By the way, I am not condoning this, only mentioning the economics. Selling drugs is illegal, don't do it!

OMG, an ounce for 80 dollars?!? An eighth for $20? I'm going to have a heart attack!

An eighth of the good stuff costs $50 around here, and $20 for a gram.

How expensive do you think pot cost?! I'm not sure how much it costs where you live, but up here it costs about $10 for a gram, and a gram will last a single individual a week even if he was a daily smoker.

I'm just relating some of my prison experience. Drugs were very common in there, but they were expensive as hell... which meant that if some guy was going to bring in an ounce of pot through his ass, he was going to bring in the best he could get his hands on. A gram in prison could make 10 joints... so you could imagine how small the joints were. And a joint cost 2-3 packs of smokes (a single pack of smokes was $3.00 or so) depending on how saturated the market was.

Anybody who has been in prison i'm sure can relate to what i'm saying.

LOL, yeah, you definitely had a little something more than pot, sounds like some LSD. Mix that with some weed and you are going to have issues for a few hours.

First time I smoked I was wasted off my ass on about 10 shots of E&J, took a few hits, puked my brains out, and spent the rest of my night hurtling through an asteroid field in the middle of the galaxy.

Being scary stoned is one of those experiences which you dont understand until it happens, and the world just falls apart, and you start apologizing for everything you've ever done, because your positive this is the end. Theres only one thing to do in that situation. Smoke yourself straight. I've seen it happen. It works. Dont know why, and dont know how, but it works.

LOL yeah. What usually happens is that some guy gets a visit from his wife/gf, and the wife/gf will bring it with her in her vagina... then when she gets to the visiting room, she goes to the bathroom and removes it, and puts it in her underwear if she's wearing a skirt, or in her socks if she's wearing pants. Then they'll swap it, and the guy will then 'hoop' or 'suitcase' it (same thing.. just means hiding it in your ass).

Funny story, this one guy wanted to bring in some stuff, but he didn't know anybody to get some stuff... so he came to us. We got somebody to send his gf a bunch of stuff, that included pot, hash, heroine and pills, just a huge assortments of things. Generally, people would package the stuff in log shape... like a dildo, so it'll be easier going in. Well, his gf was completely new at this, so she didn't exactly know what she was doing... so she bundled the stuff into a freaking ball! Anyways, when his gf finally comes to visit him, she passes the stuff over to him, and he sits there dumbfounded. How the fvck am i going to hoop this he's thinking. And he sits there for hours, just fuming and wondering how he's goign to bring it back in. You need to hide it, because you get a pat down when you enter and leave the visiting around. So he's there for hours, and we're all wondering what the hell was going on, that maybe he got busted or something.

Well, apparently after a couple of hours, he decided he needed to bring this thing in. There's no way he was going to toss out the stuff. So he gets this ball of dope, that's hard as a freaking rock because it's so packed together, and pointy as hell because of some of the pills... and just sits on it... i mean he just stuck the thing on his ass, then just sat on it, and up it went. Of course it required a lot of force, and he said he was in so much pain when he did it he felt like hitting his gf, but he got up and returned to the cell block. As he returns, we're all sitting at the table, and ask him if he has it. He doesn't answer, and heads directly to his cell. He's screaming as he's getting the stuff out, and we're all wondering wtf happened. Then he returns to the table, and plop this peach size thing on the table (of course he removed the first couple of lays of condom before bringing it out... generally they're wrapped a few times so they don't get contaminated in the trafficking process). And we're stunned, but then realize what he did and couldn't stop laughing for days.

That's some of the measures people do to bring in stuff... and dope was soooo common inside.

Naw, it wasn't LSD. I don't know what it was mixed with, or if it was mixed with anything. It was just really good stuff. Depersonalization is common when you smoke a lot, and we smoked a lot of some really good stuff. In Canada growing or distributing pot isn't a serious crime. You can get busted with a $200,000 a year hydroponic operation, and get nothing but a fine. So you can imagine how common the stuff is up here... and they're good stuff. Not stuff that's smuggled in from Mexico or Jamaica, where they just throw the seeds on the ground and harvest the stuff months later.
