Second, if you can afford a firearm, you can afford a Ring doorbell camera. That in and of itself is going to keep a lot of riffraff away.

Third, if you do decide to answer the door and it's uniformed police, brandishing a firearm is probably a death sentence regardless of your rights, so you need to decide if exercising your second amendment right is more important than your life.

I don't see how you can say this. A citizen answers his door and is shoot down by the police. He committed no crime, he was in his own home. That's not a "good shoot" by any definition. It was at best manslaughter and criminal negligence.

Scotus has determined as long as an officer believes they are in danger deadly force is ok. The reasonableness of their belief does not matter.

Second, while you may in fact have the "right" to answer your door armed it's NOT actually a very smart thing to do if you plan on living a long, healthy life. (especially if it's the cops knocking!)

Far as I know if you get pulled over and have a "CCL" you are REQUIRED BY LAW to notify the officer immediately or you just might get arrested/shot. (and I won't have any sympathy for you at all)

Unlike most folks on here I have a couple IRL friends that are cops and thus I see both sides of the argument a lot of the time. Actual objectivity on this topic is a rare thing around these parts where the LEO is nearly ALWAYS "in the wrong" regardless of circumstances.
