Do you hate the metric system?

Forget SAE. metric actually makes sense.
But trying to use 2 systems sucks. just bite the bullet and switch already okay?
Besides its true to say you're now packin 10!!!!

No. Its a lot faster when converting units. But thanks to your yank equipment we have, I always use inches/feet etc when building thigs.

At least metric is uniform. I wish we had something that's uniform. Either SAE or Metric, doesn't matter to me.

Obviously not an engineer's perspective.

I think it is time for the US to let go of their insecurities and go with a unit system that almost every other nation uses.

metric conversions are easier

there are also two types of pounds: pound-mass and pound-force. sucks, doesnt it? 😛

and pounds doenst compare to kilograms, cuz a kg is a unit of mass. you = noob!

I hate all the conversions I have to do when I have to read a metric print. Although I realize metric is better, I'll stay with my inches, feet, yards, etc.

Pounds equate to kg when assuming a constant gravitational force.. which just so happens to exist in every place you've ever been.

Agreed. 182 cm? What the hell is that? 84 kg? Waste of my time to convert to lbs.

i don't hate the metric system but I agree that it blows when you go on your travels and your accustomed to english system and the majority of the world is on metric.

its worse when buying the right size clothes and shoes. now that's another ballgame.

Miles > kilometers
Pounds > kilograms
Quarts > liters
English > metric

Are you sure you graduated from high school?

Uh, did you? That's the proper analogy..

But in any case, the OP is an idiot.

no it is not

He mixed derivatives of metric units with single units in the english system...

miles relates to meters
pounds relates to grams
quarts relates to liters....

Like it doesn't blow when we have to convert your stupid units into proper units.
Bejezus man, Yards!?!?!?

The standard unit of length should be the 'football field' and for mass it should be the 'bag of flour' and the 'blue whale' where 100,000 bags of flour = 1 blue whale.
