I don't, but a lot of people I know seem to hate Fords (cars) with every fiber of their being. Really, for me I put all the American car companies on the same level; so the dislike leaves me wondering.

More or less.

"hate" is a strong word. I would just never buy one with my own money.

:p

Let's see...

192700 miles
Clutch change at 180000 miles
Burns no oil
50+ MPG on the open road

No, I don't think I do.

I have had or know too many Fords that are pieces of crap. I've had much better luck with GM.

A non-existing one? That's the most impressive clutch I've ever heard of....and a ford getting 50+ MPG? lol.

I'm with Chris. My last 'Ford' was purchased used in 1982, with 5 years under it's belt. Just sold it two years ago. Yep, miserable beasts they are...

1991 Ford Festiva. I went from Slidell, LA to Bedford, IN, which is 751 miles on 15 gallons of gas, which is 50 mpg.

:)

He has a Festiva.

Of course they made reliable cars. They still do make some reliable automobiles..

I would just never buy or own one. So I dislike them. lol..

List of automobiles my family has owned in the last 15 years:

89 F-150
93 Taurus
95 Escort
98 F-150
03 Taurus

Each one still running like a champ

Edit: I'm sure everyone can give me 100 reasons why Ford sucks and some other brand is better, but to be honest I don't really care.

:Q I am surprised the clutch didn't turn to dust after that long. More power to the car, that is impressive. :D

That is not that bad, only a bit above the average. I would still buy German or Japanese though.

There use to be a big Ford vs GM vs Mopar "debate" but I thought that the imports that shifted argument. I think the "I hate Ford" guys are a remnant of the old "debate".

personally i think its pretty stupid to rule out an entire make of cars just because of the name. but if it makes you feel like you're a wiser consumer, more power to you. Opinions are like belly buttons.
