Do you hate fall/winter?

I don't hate it but I do this year. I broke my ankle in July and have missed most of the summer because of it! Lame.

A jacket doesn't help. You have to layer yourself with a couple shirts, sweater, and jacket and even if you're layered it's STILL cold.

Get one of these you panzie. I've got one (though it's much more of a deerskin color) and it's great, looks great, is always warm enough (even in 15 degree Oklahoma wind), and has held up well. I wouldn't say this is a downside, just worth mentioning, but it is a heavy jacket, about five pounds or so. I don't mind at all, but then again I'm no weenie either 😛

Hmm... maybe a better jacket would make the difference this winter.

..Virginia?

Pfft. Lightweight.

😛

And in a couple months I'll have to wear a jacket, gloves, and everything. I hate winter.

Your profile says you live in Virginia. Do they even have winter there?

I used to live in Minnesota - getting up an hour early to shovel out snow in the dark when it's -25 degrees sucked. Now I'm in Seattle, where the "northwest weather wusses" (that's what a local weatherman called us living in the northwest) constantly whine about how bad the winter is because it sprinkles every day. Whatever, it's still way better than winters in the midwest.

I do miss snow a little (even though I can drive 45 minutes and find it in the mountains). I also miss people that know how to drive in the slightest bit of adverse weather.

Okay, I'm done now.

Winter in SoCal is like 60-70 degrees. I love Winter 😀

Summer on the other hand is a pain the ass, and my least favorite of seasons. It all depends on where you live naturally of course, since some seasons are worst off in your neck of the woods.

For me Summere >>> Winter, but I like it hot. Most of the folks that do like it hot, aren't on this forum. They are outside kickin' it in the heat.

Here in Houston, it really was a mild mild mild summer. It wasn't even hot (that means over 93F) until mid to late July due to all this rain Texas had this year. Now that the pools are closed and school is in session for the toddlers, the weather here is perfect. Today was great, Saturday was even better. This is my favorite time of year.

Winder is ok though, since it doesn't really get below 35F here. You can have backyard hometheater football parties regularly in the late fall / early winter here since the sun goes down at 5:30 and its still 65-70F outside.

Just no more rain this year OK!

the nice thing about winter is that there's less need to worry about zombies, on account of the cold weather.

but people south of, like, 37 degrees longitude don't get to complain/praise winter unless they've spent more than a year of their life living in the north east 😛

I don't mind the heat, its still breaking 100 here during the hottest part of the day. Its no biggie to go running that temperature either. Primarily, the only thing I don't like about the summer here is the size of my electric bill. The plus side of the cooler winter months is the considerably cheaper electric bill.

I hate being cold. This particular year I am glad to see summer ending as it's been crazy hot, but as a general rule I like hot over cold.

I'd imagine New York in the fall to be beautiful. In Southern California, you'd hardly notice a difference.

I love fall, my favorite time of year.

Winter is ok as long as it doesn't snow too much to affect the roads. I hate driving in snow.

Summer is usually too fucking hot. the only good thing about it is hot chicks in minimal clothing!

Spring is usually decent as well.

In the winter, if you're cold, you put on more clothes. In the summer, if you're hot, tough shit, all you can do is get inside to the AC.

Fall has to be my favorite time of year.

Winter can get a bit old with being so cold but here in Atlanta, it's pretty mild for the most part.

Winter can go eff itself. Fall isn't too bad since I can actually wear a shirt longer than one day without washing it. However, effing fall is cool enough that all the windows have to be closed. I want summer minus 30+ C days.

Absolutely the opposite. I HATE summer, like fall, and LOVE winter. I can't do anything in the summer because it's too bright and too hot. In winter I can finally go outside again. My energy is up, my happiness increases exponentially...it's the only time of year I actually feel alive.

Well, I'm with the people who don't like to freeze their nuts off. I'm very sad that summer is over. I find the days getting shorter and the cold weather downright depressing.

Fall is nice, perfect for biking. I don't hate the winter. I would say I like summer more but winter has snowboarding!
