Something kind of like myself--good-looking but tough enough to make it through hell and then back.

I'm looking for something to pull double--even triple--duty in that I'll take it out on the town but I'll also wear it while camping...and perhaps once or twice when punching a man just because he looks at me sideways.

Oh, and this watch will also need to be digital or have a second hand (Which makes it even more like me)
 
get a scuba diving watch... they are usually indestructable... mine is, and it only set me back 200 CND... not bad i think.... right now its battery is dead and no one in town here replaces them (since its a diving watch they have to charge the thing with nitrogen when they change out the battery) so its DOA until I get into a larger place... right now I'm using my great uncles omega automatic that he got for a 25th anniversary with his work watch. Its worth a fair chunk of change... solid gold hourmarks n' stuff... no battery, dont have to wind it. pretty cool for something made in the 50's

I'm pretty fond of the Vostok that I have. It will never pull duty as a dress watch, but it's cheap and thoroughly overbuilt. It's a self-winder with a second hand (sweep) though, so if you're looking for something Quartz, it's not for you.

I have to admit... I had a Fossil. Analog. LOVED it and it lasted forever. When I lost it, I replaced it with a Victorinox (died), Wegner (died), Timex (died) and Casio (died.) I'm thinking about getting another Fossil. 😉

For the record: I work as an installer/cable runner, etc. I bang around A LOT of shit, watches included. I also like to work on cars on the weekend. I tear shit up, I tell you what.
 
I have a Roots watch, cost me about $150 about 1.5 years ago, has been threw everything, even dropped it on concrete and had it dragged along with a foot, the face has a VERY FINE/SMALL hairline scratch, nothing else 🙂
