Depends on how exactly legislation goes down. How is the government searching for weapons to confiscate, etc.

If the government started doing warrantless searches of residences, odds would be higher.

I don't think things would ever get that far but fourth amendment rights get chipped away already and if we hack away at the 2nd as well then who knows.

Fourth amendment rights haven't been chipped away so much as people don't care about using them.

There's too much 'sure, officer, go ahead and search' rather than 'hey, officer, why don't you go fuck yourself?'

True. Never understood that. Never been in a situation where an officer wanted to search me or my property either.

Gun nut... no... but I do own 10 firearms and about 4500 rounds of ammo and I do try and get out to shoot at least once a month. At this point my purchases are more of a sound investment than hobby expense, if we get into a SHTF scenario I can always use the ammo as currency ala Metro 2033 😉

Yes. Guns are still expensive enough that if you own several, you should be considered a "nut". Sort of like how you own several computers and have many spare parts, you are a "computer guy" to the person who still owns a Dell from 2002

guy != nut

Yeah, I own a few guns and enjoy shooting them. I'm not a nut, though. :colbert:
