I sold my 15 round Browning 9mm HiPower (purchased in 1994) late last year for a tidy profit so I am now more of a gun cashew than a gun nut. :colbert:

Not really. I own guns and I know a great deal about them but they certainly don't define who I am.

I might go months or even a year without touching them. I have guns I've owned for almost 20 years now.

This is the first time Ive been disarmed in 19 years. Ive managed to survive....so far. :whiste:

If I had the dough, I would be sleeping with a Bushmaster every night however.

All my guns are locked in a safe. I don't want my 10 year old or one of his friends getting his hands on them. I've taken him shooting a couple times though, he enjoys it and I think he is developing a healthy respect for firearms.

i only have 3 guns. i think that is under the nut limit. you will have to pry the from my cold, dead hands though.

Assuming you mean enthusiasts, most certainly. Two AR's, two Glocks, and two Sigs right now. I usually add at least one gun a year as I can write it off on my taxes.

I have a nice little collection - AR, AK, 12g Saiga, .22 Hornet w/ scope+bipod and the .45 handgun. But I dont consider myself a nut... havent added to the collection in years and the only shooting I did in the last 2 years was with my .45 using special laser targets (ammo too damn expensive)

I'd like to collect WWII military rifles, but it's too much money, and I don't feel like going /somewhere/ to shoot. I'd be more likely to indulge a collection if I were on a farm.

At a given time, I usually own 1-3 guns. 'Gun nut' to me is the people who stockpile ammo and have dozens of guns.

But I do like to shoot, and take advantage of the arsenal of a nuttier friend.

mauser k98 and mosin nagant can be had pretty cheap...

I own several thousand shares of various stocks, mutual funds, etc. I am not a stock nut.
I own hundreds of movies. I am not a movie nut.
I own dozens of kitchen utensils. I am not a kitchen nut.
I have 18 guns at last count. I am not a gun nut.

I'm not sure what qualifies someone as a nut. Maybe someone who is neurotic about something to the point they are needlessly pedantic. I see this a lot with sports.

Have several handguns and a Mossberg 500...maybe around 1500 rounds of ammo...

I am not even close to being a gun nut as other friends I know...

An alcoholic and anyone who drinks more than you.
A gun nut is anyone who has more guns than you.

Therefore, no one should vote that they are a gun nut.

You should find yourself a Mauser, 98k is a great rifle. You do yourself an injustice in not owning one and using it. Just accurate and that bolt action on it is just superb.

I just picked up my brand new Springfield XDm 45 acp and I am not a nut. I do really like that gun however.

No I only have a couple guns in my house and not much ammo.

glue gun
staple gun
heat gun

I need to get some nail guns too though.

I don't know whether I qualify as a "nut," but I've definitely been more active in purchases/following gun-related news since all of this craziness began. I suspect there's no shortage of people similarly situated.

I have no need for one as I live in a decent neighborhood. I guess if you live in bumblefuck or a bad neighborhood you may need one.
