i believe, i just have questions about christianity and the bible. my own personal opinion is that god can be approached in any number of ways and it a relationship with god is really very personal. don't turn your back on believing just because you haven't yet found a religion that speaks to you. i think the biggest thing to keep in mind is that god is all about love - any religion that tells you otherwise is definitely not where you want to be.

What someone "wants to believe" can not alter reality.

Who is to say the ancient Jew's view of the world is any more correct than (e.g.) the ancient Egyptians?

They aren't necessarily chosen. There's only 144,000 of them (and they've already all been picked). The rest of their devout followers just get to go to "the New System."

I know, I've asked them before about that. I don't know how many of them there are, but it by far exceeds 144,000. Some of them (most of them) are not pure of heart.
