Do you all take ready made food on an Airline flight?

When I was in Florida with my wife and son visiting my Mom last year we made turkey sandwiches for the flight back home. They were mighty tasty. Way better than airline food.

I usually eat at whatever lounge I can get into with my Amex Platinum card, that way I don't have to bother with the airline food.

I usually get to the airport early and hit a restaurant there for some grub and a beer. If I am flying in the morning, then I grab a snack and a coffee. I rarely eat anything on planes anymore, unless it's a really long flight.

That doesn't sound like a bad idea but I have never, ever done that. I don't fly that often, though, 2, 3 times a year tops.

For long flights I'll sometimes grab a sandwich to take on with me but the majority of my flights are only 1-3 hours and I don't get hungry.

Only been on a plane a few times, never brought anything. The flights were no more than 1-2 hours though. I'd take a snack if offered but that's about it. Most of the flights I took were really early in the morning so I'm not hungry that early, just freaking tired.

I've seen that happen. This one bunch must've smuggled half of a buffet line onto the plane. The whole thing smelled like subs and chili for the entire trip. After the first half minute or so, any persistent smell gets to be very annoying.

I've been a culprit before during a connection. Landed, ran to food court, shortest line was the chinese (not really) food, then ran to board. The plane got a nice whiff of my kind of chow mein and bourbon chicken.

My in flight diet usually consists of water and/or booze.

Gotta love people posting who never travel.. never go through security check.. don't know anything about what actually happens but they still post an opinion like its fact

I've flown Southwest to not far places with no long distance flights so haven't eaten on those a they don't serve food on hour long flights. When I flew from LA to DC it was a redeye so didn't eat then either. I've never eaten a full meal on a flight ever.

They all start tasting the same after a while. Longest flight I was on was 14 hours. We landed and refueled once. They fed us like 4 times, twice on the first leg, and twice after refueling and getting on the second leg. They were all different recipes but you could tell it was the same basic ingredients just recombined in various ways.

I just bring wrapped stuff, like brownies and potato chips and stuff. Or a wrapped sandwich once in a while.

I love the look on peoples faces when I pig out sometimes. lol

I never tried to bring food through TSA. I just assumed they would frown upon it. Do you know how many people I could kill with my fish sandwich? Thousands, at the very least!

No, I'm pretty sure you would be murdered 5 seconds after you open the baggie it's in.
