Turkey wrap from Trader Joes the night before the flight, never an issue.

Missed a flight once and airline gave me a food voucher for $20 while I waited for next flight, spending every penny of it at a hot dog place wasn't the smarted thing I've done.

Interesting thread ... as tomorrow I hop on a flight that will take 8.5 hours to arrive at my destination. I figured I would sleep on the plane (oh, Ambien, where art thou?), but the wife says she plans on waking my ass up every 90-120 minutes to walk and stretch my legs to prevent a DT. I guess my tummy could be addressed during one of these sleep incursions.

From what I understand, if you buy it in the airport, it is fine to take on board. I don't think you'll make it past security with a sandwich in your pocket, but if you're willing to pay $25 for one once past there, you're fine.

We always make sandwiches and take them with us when flying (family of 4). Hell of a lot cheaper, and so long as there aren't any liquids, we've never had a problem.

I brought some hard boiled eggs, agent cracked everyone, ya know, just to be sure. Also, did you know a large bag of *unopened* chips will explode with a loud bang when you reach altitude?
