In my opinion, the weakest part about Thor was
how he transitioned from arrogant Thor to kindhearted Thor. He drank a few beers, smashed a few glasses and all of a sudden he's a pacifist ready to sacrifice himself?

I think it was more
the love of a lady what done it.

In the film, Iron Man's suit is an extension of him, without the suit he is nothing, without him the suit is nothing, like Thor without his hammer. Therefore he is a superhero, but war machine isn't.

superman is not a superhero. He is an alien living amongst humans. He is normal, from his perspective.

Clark Kent is his secret identity.

your argument is weak.

Yeah, it's supposed to be the whole love with a mortal aspect that makes him good, but you don't really see much of the chemistry during the movie. The only scene with any is when they're on the roof talking. Given I've never read the Thor comics, but know a little about the mythos, I felt kind of bad for Sif... since she's Thor's wife in Norse mythology, and the character obviously showed some longing for him throughout the movie.

not to mention Tony Stark's level of intellect is on par with some of the smartest aliens in the universe, much more so than a regular person or regular human. one could say it's a super human intellect?

it was clearly being a mortal and not just her that did it to him. he couldn't believe that he was no better than these punny humans which he is supposed to protect. look how easily he got dropped, his "im the mighty thor" just made people laugh and all that snaz. he was humbled greatly when he lost all his power. at least that's how i took it

He's a hero, with superpowers (based on what powers others have), so he's a superhero. I never said he had to be human to make the list.

It is cool though that Clark Kent is his costume and Superman's suit are his normal clothes, he's unique in that respect (i believe)

a graphic novel is a comic book.

seriously, just look at the fucking names. they mean the same thing.

Very similar, very similar.

I have to say I felt the same.

That would mean that einstein had super abilities. :hmm:

He gave up his life to be Batman, his conviction created the necessity that there always be a Batman. At least that's how I understand it.

this sounds like a bunch of bullshit Keirkegaard or something being crammed into a fucking comic book.

:D

Why are you even arguing with him? You should know better, and yeah, I mean, he's proven time and time again his arguments are dumb as shit.

Reed Richards is probably smarter, no?

I never was an Iron Man fan, tbh.

Ok asshole, let's consider these links in the context of your initial assertion: 3D movies will cause long term damage to your eyesight.

Presents no reliable sources. Presents no firm conclusion. Quote: "more research needs to be done before we can conclude that 3D HDTV is safe, even for adults." Given the meat of the article, he could just as easily have concluded, "more research needs to be done before we can conclude that 3D HDTV is harmful for adults.". Also it's an audiophile website, so guaranteed to be 100% pure unfiltered, undiluted, concentrated bullshit.

Says nothing, NOTHING about long-term effects.

This article is about kids. Who gives a fuck about kids?

Quote: "I won't pretend there's any hard evidence that these transient effects could develop into permanent problems."

Says nothing about long-term effects (except for kids, and fuck them). Quote: "found via an online survey." Derp.

Quote: "The Australian branch of Samsung has put out a health risk warning concerning watching 3D TV on its website. Under the headline “Photosensitive Seizure Warning and Other Health Risks”, it sums up the possible dangers of watching 3D." This is 100% cover-your-ass (which is why the warning label appears only on Autralian websites - it's a regulatory issue). No evidence. Says nothing about long term effects.

In conclusion you're either a dishonest piece of worthless shit, or a category-5 full-blown moron. Or both. Die in a fire.

You know, if you weren't so full of shit yourself you'd be easy to agree with, but when you dismiss stuff because its on an "audiophile" site just makes you a moron as well. Likewise to the kid stuff, although it seems like most of that is pretty weak and there have been doctors saying that's overblown as well, but instead your idiotic "fuck kids" attitude just makes you look like a complete moron.

Hell, on the disclaimer one, all you had to do was point out that disclaimer is used on pretty much every video game and half the TV shows just to cover their asses because regular 2D can also cause seizures.

Most of the 3D "problems" seems similar to that about games and movies that have more fluid movement (HL2 and the "soap opera effect" of higher framerate video), which will just take people time to adjust to it.

Certainly there's a lot of shitty 3D, but its not really 3D that is the problem, its the shitty content. If they do it right (using it to add depth and don't push the gimmicky shit (really contrive pop-outs), people would get used to it a lot easier.

The technology isn't great yet, but give it some time and it'll get better as well. Of course if we can get better tech in general (we really need to get beyond LCDs...), it would help.

To me, a graphic novel is nothing more than a really long comic book (hence the use of "novel"). It's essentially taking a bunch of comic issues and binding them together.

interesting that you neglected Nolan's Batman movies. ...which means that you theoretically rank them below Ghostrider, Daredevil and slew of other shitty, shitty movies.

Watchmen is the best superhero movie to date, I must say.

I have to agree on Watchmen. I don't like the whole superhero genre but Watchmen is one of my favorite movies.

Disagree with the merits of my arguments (and not just my delivery) or be intellectually dishonest like djnsmith7. Your choice.

I addressed the arguments before dismissing them because of that. And let's be honest - audiophiles are massive homo cunts. Everyone knows this.

My delivery had more impact than your limp-wristed one.

How do you define "Audiophile"? Anyone that wants better sound than the shit that comes out of stock iBuds or the douchelords that spend $15,000 on their speakers?
