Do adults need to drink milk?

Biologically? No, not necessary.
It's something mammals, with their relatively high metabolisms, make to jump-start growth in their minimally-developed infants. Simpler life forms, like reptiles, hatch or give birth to offspring that are fairly close to adults in terms of basic functionality. Once it's old enough to handle adult foods, the tap runs dry and the offspring is expected to eat on its own.

Body uses calcium from your bones to neutralize acidity caused by milk.

Osteoporosis has been linked to drinking milk which adults don't need.
Bullshit. Just complete, utter bullshit.
If that was the case, I'd think that anyone who drinks orange juice every day would be nothing but a squishy bag of skin on the floor.

Evolution didn`t make me lactose tolerant in adulthood just so I can drink Pepsi.Yeah, love me some milk.

For those who say they don't drink it because of lactose intolerance, how about lactose free milk?

If you really love milk or eat cereal, go for it.

You don't need any particular food in your diet, provided you're getting those same nutrients elsewhere. To say adults need to drink milk is like saying adults need to eat cassowary.

Humans commonly eat foods that are very acidic, such as fruit.

Also, milk is basic, not acidic.

Also, your entire stomach is filled with acid literally all the time and you ingest it regularly.

Find me a lactating woman that will let me ...

:hmm:

Nevermind.

Do adult mammals require milk in their diet? Nope. If they did, then the above statement would be commonplace and not even a remotely disgusting thought to anybody.

Let me put it another way: Do adult cows need milk in their diet?

I drink coconut milk. my kids drink whole milk.
I know this 6 year old who is not even chubby, let alone more. Yet the pediatrician has said he should drink skim milk!

With the way things are going in America with regards to obesity, I guess the pediatricians and all are going in this direction

I don't. I can't remember the last time I drank milk. I don't have cereal either. I will drink it if I visit family and they have some in the fridge.

that's the way of the past. sugar, for the most part causes obesity and heart disease. not fat. studies are now confirming this.

I think he's about to start talking about "ash" next, the whole alkaline diet thing.

I think its more from a caloric direction than fat/sugar.

Also milk does contain large amounts of sugar, so you should also avoid lots of milk if you want to avoid the stuff.
