Supposedly there is enough Vitamin D and calcium and other things milk has put in day to day food that you don't necessarily "need" to drink milk, but I love milk so I drink it regularly.

Only necessary if you have problems getting calcium any other way. It's a good option for kids because it's a great combination of calcium, calories, fat and protein...all of which active youths need.

For the average lay adult...you get those from plenty of other sources and don't need to be drinking your calories.

Humans are the only mammals that drink milk past the nursing stage. So I would say not drinking milk is more natural, lactose intolerance is also natural. But I drink milk still, so meh.

We're also the only mammals that harvest milk from outside our species. Very few humans are drinking human breast milk as adults.

True that. Someone drinking breast milk seems wrong and disgusting even though it would seem more natural than cow's milk. Maybe that's just me though.

babies need milk, not adults. human digestive system isn't designed to digest milk from other animals.

Body uses calcium from your bones to neutralize acidity caused by milk.

Osteoporosis has been linked to drinking milk which adults don't need.

I love milk (the only beverage IMO for cookies) and cereal as a breakfast food. I drink non-pasteurized non-homogenized raw milk. 1/2 gallon a week

You don't need milk. A baby needs it's mothers milk for specific purposes. Otherwise, its a sugar laden, fat laden, calorie laden drink.

I love it when I'm bulking or with brownies/cookies, but otherwise, there is no actual evidence that milk is actually "good" for you. They've done studies and found that people that drink milk vs who don't drink milk don't have any noticeable differences in bone injury rates or calcium density. The vitamins/minerals in milk are also easily found in other places.

For most people, its just a easy way of getting calories.

Without milk, the world would not have chocolate milk. Can you imagine a world without chocolate milk? I don't want to.

We're also possibly/probably the only mammal to express a lot of lactase as adults (well, some of us).

milk fat makes you feel satiated faster(ie makes you want to eat less)

studies have shown that dieters who switch from skim to 2% lose more weight

I drink it because I like it, and otherwise I would probably be reaching for a beer :p

and I don't like drinking tons of water(bland)

Probably not, but its got tons of nutritional crap in a reasonably good tasting liquid that doesn't have any immediate negative effects on the body -- as far as I know.

You are told you need milk because milk makes people money. You don't need milk.
