DIY Circumcision

that's a normal thought... "I want to get circumcised as an adult but I don't trust the surgeons, so I will do it myself with nail clippers"
 
Ok here's a follow up question. Given that this gentleman went through the following mental process:

I want to be circumcised
I don't trust those damn doctors
I'll do it myself!
But with what?!?
Nail clippers. By George why didn't I think of that sooner. Nail clippers it is!

Given the above at what point did he stop himself and say (as he obviously did at some point) Hmm... this doesn't look anything like I pictured it would. I think I may have gone and fucked this up...

I mean seriously was it after the first 'clip', the second, the tenth? At what point did it occur to him that things weren't going by the text book?
