i just kinda got the idea they were training their kids to fight in a hostile environment, which is why there were yelling and stuff.. kinda like high school fights.
im a white kid, and i had to do the same stuff with the kids in my neighborhood and our older brothers. we all loved each other, but they did pit the kids against each other to learn how to fight and protect our selves...

ur right about the language, but getting your ass kicked isn't acceptable either. those kids were just sparring. I'm glad I went through that stuff when I was a kid, because it helped me sustain myself through some real life threatening attacks. you also have to consider where they live. they might not want them to be fighting, but maybe those folks accepted is probably going to happen, and start happening soon, so its better that there kids have some kind of experience and dont let themselves get any more hurt than they have to. had I not learned how to take a punch when I was younger, I would have had some truly embarrasing moments in high school. not only that, i was assaulted by a coke head and he broke my nose, but I was able to "flip" and keep defending myself, covered in blood, and while I got my nose broke, I kept myself from getting hurt worse. thank god I went throught that stuff when I was younger. thank god.

having adults and parents encouraging fighting like this makes kids think that it's an acceptable way to solve problems and disputes. there's a difference between a dad teaching his son how to protect himself and having two kids go nuts on each other and then cheering them both on and encouraging them, while using unacceptable language.
there's really no excuse...

Wouldn't it be a better idea for parents to teach their kids to avoid fights? I've never been in a serious fight (I only once pushed a smaller kid to the ground a few times in high school for throwing a rock at my car), even with my big mouth. I mean, it's not hard to avoid fights, or to avoid people who would be prone to fighting.

hehe actually, i was really good at street fighting. in high school, we had a kind of fight club where we would meet up in peoples' basements after school (we used to go to feilds or behind buildings, but the cops were called one time and we decided that we couldn't do that anymore if we didn't want people to find out about it). the only fight i ever lost out of the 31 fights i was in was to my friend, david, who was the starting star running back of our school.
the last fight i was in was sept 12, 2001, at the shuttle stop in undergrad... i beat up two rednecks who kept talking smack at me and pushing me. i asked them to stop like 4 times... they wouldn't and decided to keep acting like 91ttz and jlgatsby and i ended up beating them up. i told them that they could either stfu and take the bus up to class or they could walk. they walked... dumb rednecks just couldn't stfu for 2 minutes to ride the bus up to class... instead, they chose to walk 15 minutes. idiots. actually, after that encounter, i was a little worried, because i was afraid they'd hunt me down with a shotgun in a pickup or something... didn't think about that until my friend, jessica, hit me afterwards and said "wtf are you thinking?! they're rednecks! they probably have guns in their truck, you ******!"
edit: i probably would get my ass beat today if i got in a fight because i haven't been in one in so long, nor do i want to be. i used to be really aggressive when i was younger... i'm a pacifist, now.

Everyone is in a unique situation, I don't see how people can say "Black people don't do well because of slavery." There are thousands of black people that do well despite slavery. There are thousands that don't do well, and slavery might be a variable. However, all of these unsubstantiated assertions do nothing to help solve the problem.
Go use your mental energy somewhere more useful, if you are actually concerned about the problem. Volunteer at a homeless shelter or for habitat. However, I doubt most of you genuinely are worried about the problem. Probably just arguing the topic to convince yourself that you dislike black people because they all act this way :disgust:, and not simply because they are black.

For a second there I thought it was a hearing test but I figured out it was just the language filter
That was pretty horrible. I think the worst part was when the "dad"? or whoever was coaching the boy in the blue? on the right at the time of the incident anyway, smacked the kid in the back of the head and pushed him towards the other kid. Pretty sickening.

Race has nothing to do with it. Punks should all be cuffed up, beaten, and then given a boot in the rear to go cry to mommy. Show people that vandalism and "petty" crimes will NOT be tolerated and they'll think twice about moving onto "bigger" crimes.
Of course, if officials/police abuse their power and oppress the people, that's when the rioting will begin...
