To some extent the burden of proof is also on others to prove dmcowen674 is wrong.

This statement is 100% wrong. Dave is making a serious accusation, it's up to him to prove it. As it stands right now, he's supplied no evidence what so ever that he's being stalked. What he's doing is maligning another member under the pretense of defending himself. It's wrong, if he can't prove it, he should be banned.

I think this thread has some batshit crazy written all over it. Either this is the most weird trolling I've ever seen or a mod should pull these people to the side and see if they need to take a time out while they get their medication or fix the dosage. I don't mean any disrespect since if I was sick I'd appreciate a bit of leeway but enough already. This is just sad.

I won't lie though that I've never particularly liked you ever since your legal troubles with a county that I've paid taxes to and consider you in the wrong in regards to.

Show me where I made personal attacks on those making up the lies and personal attacks on me.

How long is this thread going go be alive? It's over 100 posts now, essentially all consisting of dmcowen making baseless accusations and when asked for proof he lashes out at the person asking (posts 3,7,9,11,12,13,15,18,29,48,52,56,75,77,78,84,90), without even so much as a link pointing to what he claims happened. And in many cases has offered instead of proof to start posting lies and attacks against the person that asked, to see how they like it (posts 31,34,35,36,43).

So there we have it: dmcowen accuses of stalking and provides zero links of this behavior. Not one single link. And in a single thread I have provided over 20 examples of his incredibly antisocial and negative behavior.

This is embarrassing for him and for P&N. And if the thread is simply closed and dmcowen allowed to continue, this kind of nonsense from him will never go away and he'll keep sucking up mod attention and sh*ting on threads indefinitely.

It was about cyberstalking, it is a serious issue.

I don't want anyone thinking they need be helpless when being victimized by cyberstalking, there are steps one can take to empower oneself while simultaneously enabling those who can take action to take action.

(I can't/won't ban people simply on the basis of them being accused of cyberstalking, innocent until proven guilty applies)

But it is a double-edged sword, because of the gravity that cyberstalking commands to the detriment of the accused, there is equal responsibility on behalf of the accuser to substantiate their claims.

(innocent until proven guilty also means libel and smear campaigns are not tolerated either)

This thread serves a purpose. It is a public service announcement that cyberstalking is not acceptable here, in addition to containing information to assist victims in knowing how they can help themselves and the authorities.

That said...unsubstantiated member callouts are also not acceptable, and this thread has most certainly degraded into containing large swaths of unsubstantiated member callouts and as such I am compelled to now lock the thread.
