It is your solemn duty to stomp a mud puddle in his ass.

Old Muscle Cars Rule but todays are faster and generally better all around.

Want to cry about cars you sold? I sold my '59 'Vette for $1500 and my '78 Trans Am (remember Smokey?) for $5000. A few others also. Traded my '66 427 'Vette for ........

yeah the newer Trans Ams,and Camaro's are kicking butt in NHRA
they are much more aerodynamic than my first gen Camaro.
and the fuel injection systems are able to be tuned/upgraded very well.

But,i like my old Muscle car, ;)

Theres one or two others but I still need to get pics. Currently on vacation right now but HAD to put this one up....Enjoy :)
Also, a story about one very VERY rare 64 Malibu that my Uncle owns will be on with the vacation pics. To give you an idea of how special....More rare then Yenko. In fact, Chevy doesnt even have the VIN number of the vehicle on file.
Yep, its a Chevy Mailbu. But Chevy didnt build it.....Or did they... ;)

Enjoy the Olds.

did you get any pics of the Malibu yet/?

Bump for an insanely cool thread.

My dream is to someday do a "restification" on a 70-72 Cuda or Challenger RT. I had a 74 Challenger back in the late 1980s...man was I cool. ;)

I will probably never be able to afford a proper number matching resto...and if I could, it would be too valuable to drive. So, I will build my own RT.

Find one plain jane Ebody. Build a 440 or 413 stroker, massaged tranny, sure-grip rear end, modern rims and rubber. Smoke everyone. :D

yeah, I wonder how the Dream Cruise was...I feel sorry for all of the out-of-towners...but at least most of the area is starting to get power back. We just got it back an hour and some ago

Well, HIS Malibu has ended up looking to be one of those 3 test cars which Chevy built the sent out to a place called the Toy Shop I think. There find out everything the 18th. But yeah, its a super, super rare 64 Malibu. So rare its 1 of 3 original, 1 of 2 existing today. :)

Check out this Impala with skirts, that was around the corner from the job I was headed to.

Yep. It's rather unfortunate too. I watched my parents 84 cutlass supreme die a rusty death from all the damn road salt here. Was such a nice car too. Definitely a nice Impala too. My friend and his dad restored a 62 Impala. Nice car, beatiful paint job on it. No idea if they still have it or not though.

The VINs are on file SOMEWHERE, but it may take some digging.
Exactly. he VIn *is* on file, but not with Chevy...

the car in that link is a 68 or 69 Firebird; ;) {its easy to confuse the 2 cars,if you don't see them alot}
unusual to see it using a "Camaro" type rear spoiler.

Nice pics Ornery!

You're right. Didn't even see the Pontiac padge on the rear quarter panel.

my Muscle Car
There will be pics of my Uncles (Other Uncle) up later. Late 60's Camaro SS, pulled the 396 and dropped a 454 in it. Fast? Like greased lightning. :)
well i only have a 427 in mine,
with a 4 speed,

my car has a few rare options,it came with disc brakes,a fold down rear seat,
a console,a 4 speed, It was painted Tuxedo Black, withblack bucket seats/black interior.
It came without a radio,etc.

Official Chevrolet production records show a total of 220,906 Camaros built in 1967
133,481 V8 Coupes,
64,842 were RS optioned
45,806 had M20 4 speed Transmisson
17,993 had the Rear Folding seat
14,899 had the Front Disc brakes option
9,079 were (A-A) Tuxedo Black
2,375 had the Clutch Fan (K02)
136 had the 61 Amp Alternator

Your car also has the optional 160 Mph Speedo;
and does Not have a Radio, which was rare,as less than 20,000 were
ordered without the radio option, and many of those had a radio installed
by the local dealer.
The 427's pulled harder than the stock 454's anyway. By the time the 454 was seeing serious production numbers it had been smog-strangled and the 427 never had to deal with that crap. The L-88 427 would dyno at well over 500 HP without internal modifications. I've heard of at least one case where the ZL-1 (identical to the L-88 but 100% aluminum) dynoed at over 580 HP without any internal work.
