The consumerist is such a crappy website. They post defamatory claims without even giving their target a chance to respond - because if they did, there wouldn't be much for them to write. Case in point:

The logical explanation is that they confused the OP with another customer. To lie to the OP and say they had performed services on the car when they knew they
hadn't even touched it yet they would have to be so far beyond stupid. Obviously the OP would be wanting his car back after he paid - how could they have expected to get out of that one? And if they were lying, why not just lie and say they DID change his oil even though they didn't? OP wouldn't have known the difference.
