Diablo II, LOD. How to save more than 100K gold?

Uh I think everyone at least gets rushed through to hell and then does cow levels. It gets boring after a while when you keep getting slaughtered to death. I thought about it and said forget it, cow levels here I come.

btw, i have a level 40-something sorceress that is still usig the original act 1 merc. she has a gemmed bow that deals 400+ damage. i just hook her up with magic find, and sit back and watch the fireworks

Damn, I'd hate to meet your character in a dark alley. :Q

So, trying to use a Bowazon is a bad idea, huh? Is she supposed to be using a sword and shield?

I know for characters like the Barbarian/Warrior, it's always sword and shield, but for the other characters, I'm not sure.

i think most people that use the amazon use either a bow or a spear. with short spears, you can have your ranged attack and still use a shield.

anyone know when version 1.10 is coming out? thats when I'm gonna get back into the game. BTW, back in the day, before exp., I had a lvl 70 wizard, 50 barb, and 55 necro and a 60 paladin. The pally was awesome in mp with his different auras.

i keep hearing the standard "any day now". of course, it's been "any day now" for a month or two.

paladin rocks in mp. many paladins is even better

I haven't played in months and months. Me and my friends have moved on to other games since. I still got all my characters though..

I think my highest is a cold sorceress in the 80's. I also got an amazon with a Burriza, damn powerful. My 50 something Necro is quite fun to play, but man is it slow going waiting for your minions to pound stuff in to the ground.

If the upcoming 1.10 patch is cool maybe I'll get back in to D2.

When I was playing awhile back I had a 94 Barb and an 87 Druid. The only people I feared where those damn immune to physical guys!!! After awhile I only did Baal runs by myself to get loot. I got boring, although I do wonder if my chars are still there...hmm

barb just go double weapon, get one that drains life, one that drains mana, and whurlwind through everything.

Bowazon is an excellent idea, just keep your distance and get a life and/or mana drain bow or something that drains them.

Bowazon isnt too bad. Its all about equipment. No equipment, no fun. I can give you a buriza on Uswest

Ah, Diablo2, the mainstay of my online gaming. where to start...yes...3 years ago

Me and a friend began our adventures in D2 back when it came out, and still play. listing the various characters we've done would take about 3 weeks.
Highlights:
Back in Classic D2, paladins were quite hard (ok, VERY slow) to play, but heh we were crazy about "crazy" builds to we kept making more and more paladins. We're on USEast...
If you've ever seen a paladin named Dodedin_MCXII (or whatever we're up to, heh), thats my friend's paladin.
I went through several restarts, meaning dumping several accounts full of (then) valuable and hard to obtain rares like my 85 damage +1 paladin GIAS Divine Scepter.
Most of our paladins stopped at levels ~50-60 after a few days of doing quests, deleted and replaced with new paladins to get more Imbues (Charsi's gift and all that) as well as a rare ring from Ormus.

For some time we were a nice group based in the Sorceress Tower, making "8pplz hellish" games. were VERY popular and filled quickly. note that this is BEFORE the Cow level gave any worthwhile experience. you just killed the king and hoped to get a good Unique item.
Those games existed to support our Ladder player - an Amazon named Valshera. What was interesting is that back then bows had a "small" bug - Enhanced damage didn't work on them! so you were stuck with 69 max damage (of Slaughter suffix) bows in hell difficulty doing River of Flame and Chaos Sanctuary, then ally with a Sorceress for her Static Field to beat Diablo himself.

Then the D2X came and we go to the land of uber-itamz, I NED RUSH and "MY 10 LEGIT WINDFORCES FOR YOUR SOJ".

Most of our friends have already quit but we went on. I myself went to play EA's now-canned Multiplayer Battletech 3025 (I'm a huge Btech fan!). Was highly successful defending Liao as MadCat_LE. I'm still damn proud of what I made out of Liao. Me, CCDark (oh, where art thou my friend...) and others transformed Liao into a small house of highly trained (I hope, hehe) mechwarriors with a good attitude. Then we started training anyone who wanted it, no matter the house. But, December 6 came and EA decided not to go live with the game

So, back to D2X. several hundred characters, most ranging levels 80-97, but also a lot of lower level characters that were basically testing every stupid/silly/crazy/you name it variant that could exist.

So, thats my D2 world. Very fun. Now waiting for Patch 1.10, which is actually a mini-expansion and will change nearly everything in the game.

MichaelD, if you're on USEast and need help with quests (come to the realms! MP is much more fun than single, if you brain-block all the immature dumbasses and seek out friendly players) PM me

theres actually two seperate modes for online play, one is open battle.net which will allow you to use your current single player char, and the other is closed battle.net (realms) which were intended to be hack free but that turned out to be false

at one point on uswest I had 12 accounts loaded with stuff and a number of higher builds, 99 fw/fo sorc, 75 or so nova sorc, 94 lf zon, 96 wf zon, 93 baal running zon, 86 or so barb (screwed build) 89 i think werewolf druid, 92 paladin. all of those were done in the course of 10 months and got deleted by blizzard (along with the majority of my mules)

i've still played on and off under various account names, but haven't had nearly the same desire anymore.

Bowazon: Put a knockback rune in your bow. Makes the game far easier.

And 1.10 has been announced for over a year now.

You can get a replacement by sending proof of the broken CD + serial number to Blizzard.
