Edit: It's actually not bad looking vs RPG's of similar age (Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura, Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape Torment, etc).
There's a patch (D2MultiRes) that supports various resolutions for both 1.12 and 1.13. Only downside is it's considered a "cheat" for multi-player. Works fine for SP though. So it supports 1920x1080 resolution now?
That program is a bit rough around the edges. For one, on my 1440p monitor, I had so many resolutions that selecting 1440p via the GUI wasn't possible because I couldn't scroll low enough, and secondly, it crashes pretty often. There's a patch (D2MultiRes) that supports various resolutions for both 1.12 and 1.13. Add -3dfx to the shortcut for the Glide wrapper to work. But honestly, just use Direct3D unless you have a good reason not to.Update 2: Alright, I'm stumped. Game installed as version 1.14b and none of the widescreen mods seem to work. Could not get the glide wrapper to work either. Any tips?

Totally agreed. They just "got it right" with that one.
